So we're racing on the :20s now eh? I did a 2'19.149 in the Z4 on R1 tyres still, the lap felt pretty good and I won't be hotlapping any more. That was still R1 tyres though and I'm yet to try S3 tyres.

Please do. That would help.. my 350Z runs steady mid 2'21 laps, and that's with some fun sideways stuff

Looks to be the same kind of lap times for the Z4 on S3s, so I'm going to have to stick to R1s. Although, from the deepest part of my heart, I wish this event was N1-S3 tyres. But if people can get 2'16 on S3s with NSXs and everything else is 5sec slower than I wonder how many NSXs we'd see.

Edit: Oh I almost forgot, about the race tyres hiding lowsy suspension setup, I was still able to shave at least a second from my lap time on R1 tyres thanks to good suspension setup. As I said, it just requires a different setup. Although if it were a track like Fuji where it's all wide open I don't think it'd matter what your setup is on R tyres with cars this slow, and you'd be right. Same goes for say putting R tyres on a Cappucino. But these cars on Suzuka you still need a good setup.

2'18.923, I did it on lap 5, in the Z4 still. There was only one competitor in the race and I was hammering him (350Z) so used the race laps for hotlaps. I assure you there was no shortcutting that would otherwise be called a penalty in Free Run.

I'll see if I can make a nice setup for the 135i and Clio.. 6 cylinders and short wheelbase seems to be the recipe for win in this event.

I use S3's because it doesn't hide poor suspension setup like R-class tires do.

I don't agree with that statement. Still, I wouldn't use R-tires in this event, simply because you don't need to. You have plenty of grip with S-tires when running at 550PP, so there is really no need to sacrifice a large amount of PP for more grip.

Hey! That's almost exactly the same as my Z4. Can you imagine how awesome that race would be? We'd have very different strengths to play to in our cars, I think we should race the Clio vs Z4. Is the Clio faster on R1s though?

Well, the last lap went well the last race. Sorry for almost knocking you out of line, Belifant. BTW, no need for you to wait when you crashed at the hairpin, I went on the gas too early and too hard after the hairpin, so nobody at fault but me. Still, nice racing. And the NSX does handle a bit different online than in free run.

And i waited for you cause i rather fight with you than with that white italian BMW in front of us, stupid guy punted me off the track twice, sure on purpose, besides that he seemed to have control over his car...

Yes, but it handles great using the S3's.

That guy in the F430 really had it in for me, I was over 38 seconds down after he had finished punting me, then he quit, I got my head down, had several 2'16's, but a best of 2.16.2, feels nicer online than free run thats for sure.

I think you will find the NSX quite a bit faster than the RX7. 👍

I really enjoyed that race....even if I was all by myself after I gave Lars a little nudge .

I also managed a 2'19.9xx my fastest time upto now and only my second go at this event.
