6200+ points, 40 golds. Only 2 more to get and then the coffee breaks. I hope that getting times in Arcade Mode will be challenging enough...

flat-out

Depends on whose time you want to beat ... :sly:

Right now i have 8600 points and still improving. Can anyone beat my time of 1.29.163 with the Cusco Subaru Impreza on Citta di Aria? It's my ultimate lap. :sly:

:) I have 5325 points now, still some way to got then!

In arcade mode, i don't seem to be getting any times in the best laps bit... how come?

I can imagine he wants to beat me too
:grumpy:
Oh and a challenge? try to beat arwin :scared:

I would need far more time than I actually have to reach Arwin's level. Your times are much closer to mine.
Anyway, I've been away from home for 3 days (so no time improvement), and I lost 300 points on db.granturismo rankings. I'll end up racing again and again only to keep the point level I have reached :ouch:

It doesn't seem to me that 13:24 is a constant. I lapped the GT-One on the end of lap 9, and had a 4.0 second advance under the checkered flag. My time was 13:22 though. (GT-One got stuck in traffic behind the RX-8 for a few turns, and lost some time).

Just got a 129.003!! With sector times of 33.694 and 102.763 respectively. I'm sure you can get in to the 128's but takes so much concentration to get a 129 never mind a 128.

5998, sounds like I'll have to try a little harder, still, that was just getting golds, I havn't tried to nail any of the tests yet, so we'll see! 👍

Currently 4,599... All golds upto 3rd purple. Also have gold on 5th purple and Mclaren F1 test!!

Got 7 bronze and 5 silver to eradicate (Although 3 bronze and 1 silver are Coffee breaks!!)

5,250 at the moment...

Only 3 more golds to get... Got silver on the Lancia Delta test and I know I can be faster...

A couple of hundreds off of Silver at New York but can't seem to progress that too much... I think that will be the hardest one to beat.

The other one is Grand Canyon but haven't got round to improving on that one yet after my first (& only) bronze run.

Soon I will have all gold... hopefully!!

Just got 10.004 points, still a lot of lessons (and coffee breaks) that I know I can get a better time. But it is a good feeling :)

The New York time trail is a pest. I did exactly 1.31.000 (required gold time) and I have not been able to beat that time yet. I mess up the entrance to the carroussel most of the time. Anybody some tips on how best to do this?

Er... That's his own topic?!?

I'm expecting to have to spend a good couple of hours pounding that lesson til I get it right...

I think the best method is to ease off and get turn into the right then after you miss the first wall hit the brakes to the back end of the carousel and the bring the car round slowish and then try to take as much speed thru the last corner as poss without clipping either wall... If you can master the exit the actual going round the carousel has little bearing on your time.

Edit: Done it... Finally gotten all gold on all tests (Except Coffee breaks)

Now have about 5,700 points. Will mop up the coffee breaks at a later date... after I've had some fun in the HSC!!

LOL, that is my thread. After golding lesson 39 using automatic I did not return there for some time. I spend lots of time at this test the last days and managed a 1.30.419 just now. I still have not been ahead of the demo on T1 and T2, so it could be better even. I will add some tips at the topic mentioned above :)

After getting over 10.000 points I am trying to get all chinese gold times, still 3 left :)

Hey Cooper S... I added a post in your tips thread that should help with that test...

It's quite detailed but I think most people could find it useful... although I suspect that there may be some better tips by a better driver...

Hi Yeti, I will check your tips and compare them to what I added already. PS below 1.30.7 is quite good already 👍

Ding Dong, I just got the HSC also!!

It didnt take me that long to get past the New York time trial (boy I hate that track sometimes), I found lesson 6 harder.

I found lesson 6 a lot easier than either of the two New York tests (13 & 39!)

Also the Slalom test had me for a long time... until I developed a cheaty way of tapping the accelerator instead of doing it properly!!

The HSC is pretty good too... Way faster than it's brother (the NSX) although I suspect that is mainly due to it's better brakes and a few more horses!!
