I miss Lotus, the entire line, and Opel / Vauxhall. The Alfa Romeo 155 needs some familiar company on the racetrack. And while I'm at it, an Audi Sport Quattro Touring Car.

I'm thinking this is a Rally car, but google is being stubborn in handing up a Touring Car.

Highly agree on missing Lotus at all, and Opel if just as to post something from the same era against the Alfa 155 (Calibra just to teach them a leason or too).

The Audi 90 Quattro ISMA GTO, to give it its full name 🙂

I would be so happy if PD brought more cars like this into the game. Especially Audis of this era. Of course the B2 Quattro rally car is an obvious choice and thankfully it’s already in the game. But there’s a whole heap of fast Audis that came a little later, such as the aforementioned ISMA 90, the RS2, S2, B3 Coupe Quattro 20v, and so on.

Unfortunately we’re in the hands of Kaz whose passion is for JDM. I’ve got a lot of love for the Japanese stuff, but I’d really like to see more of these European cars introduced.

I was going to post that very pic but wasn't sure it was the same model.

I know that Audi designed the Audi Sport quattro - lower case q?? guess it's a style thing - to be a Rally monster, but I know that a few racers adopted it to be a tarmac race car. And it would make a great Touring Car to run alongside other Audis, the Alfa 155, Opel Astra and Calibra which also need to return, BMWs, Mercedes-Benz... we should be able to enjoy a few 1990s - 2000s era Touring Car races. Hello PD...

This is the version that was used and dominated the American Touring Car Series (IMSA) to show off their AWD against all RWD cars, because there was no regulation against that. The DTM version looks more alike a street car as expected.

Correct. I believe the DTM car was actually based on an 80 (B4) rather than the 90 the ISMA was much more loosely based on, and IIRC didn’t even compete.

And I’m pretty sure the ISMA ran at around 700BHP, using the 5 cylinder block and a huge turbo, whereas the 80 DTM had a revvy 6 cylinder NA.

If we’re talking about the same car, this is the 80 DTM

Actually the DTM Audi was the V8, a huge sedan with a 3.6 V8 engine, winning the championship in 1990 an 1991. The engine crankshaft was illegal, as it was crossplane and the road car wasn't, so when BMW and Mercedes found out, protested it and Audi withdrew from 92 championship.
The car of the photo is the only built prototype according to new for 93 rules but never raced because Audi pulled the plug because they didn't agree with some interpretations of the rulebook by the organisers, as BMW did as well and Mercedes was close to it too (they even stopped the new C Class development, running the old 190E on the first year), as it was understood to be tailorfitted to newcomer Alfa Romeo 155.

Yes, that’s right! I knew I’d get some of it mixed up.

And now I’m naturally thinking about the B5 (mk1 A4) BTCC car. Inline 4 cylinder NA (old 6A block I think) with ITBs and lots of trick headwork. That’d make another great addition!

EDIT: Something else worth adding, and not to be confused with the 90 ISMA GTO, the 200 Quattro Trans-Am…

Like said, the Opel (specially the Calibra and the Tigra Andros), the Lotus, the Mercedes 190E DTM.
Sure the GT One and the R390 also, but some LMP2 cars in gr. 2, as their lap times are very near to GT500 cars.
As for the 700 days black cars, basically that's what LCD is...

I mean, you can recreate the black 787B in the GT Auto if that counts.
Bra'.. I can totally respect that , but it just doesn't have that same feel as 4, whereas you gotta earn it.. know my meaning ??.. I mean there was nothing like building the $$$$ for something like..
