A place for the weekly racers to unwind, have a beer and talk about this and that.

Liquor in the front, and poker in the rear. ;) :D

 :D Nice choice in name Boom :D cheers for setting this up ..

Well the sun is out today so this calls for the beers that i promised myself the other day ,only to wake up and find it was pouring down :irked:

So what are yoose lot up to today..? if it involves beer im there :D

I might as well post this in here .

As you know i have just recieved my X-port, i have not yet got V.PC hooked up yet but that will be comming soon..

Anyways i decided to pull out my old PC and i mean OLD prehistoric infact  and tryed the X-port stuff on there i also got Mk's and Arwins replay man on there.
This machines no good for internet connection as it has no network hardware and im not going to spend money on this dungbox ,i'd be lucky to get parts for it anyways..

I was thinking of using it for storing replays ,mucking about with hybrids etc..

The installation went fine hooked up my PS2 with the X-port disc "waiting for command" appears on my TV , i assume this is what's supposed to happen..

Anyways when i try to read the Mem card i keep on getting USB error reading PS2 :odd: and everything seems to be hooked up fine ..

Can anyone think of where i might be going wrong..?
My PC literacy is crap as you have guessed im too used to using Macintosh's

Cheers..i just hope the same thing doesn't happen when i try it with V.PC :irked:

I get alot of USB errors with mine also. I would get the PS2 fully loaded with the gameshark disc and waitnig for command, make sure everything is hooked up ok and then reboot the PC while leaving the PS2 on, hopefully the PC will recognize the PS2 as a valid USB device after that. If that doesn't work, check to make sure the USB cables are firmly connected in the little inline pod thingy, mine seems cheaply made and rather iffy about connections. Good luck.:)

and if that dont work it could be that the ps2 hasn't read the xport disc which is very common , a good way to load xport on your ps2 is to put the disc in then turn off the ps2 , power it up and as soon as you see the blue light come on press reset , this works ........ or ! ......if its the pc ? ...you need to go to device manager find the xport in there and locate the drivers yourself ( as long as disc is in pc :D ) then re-install them from the disc ... this was the problem we had when using with xp , we needed to show it where to look the lazy assed puta needed directions :P

good luck man ;)

Cheers CFman that wee plastic thingy seems a bit dodgy to me, at first i thought it could be this as the cables dont seem to connect firmly ,theres a little bit of play in them..

I will keep trying :)

Cheers Ron ,thats exactly why I hate PC's they call them computers and they dont compute anything for you ,you need to do it all yourself..

Mac OSX on the other hand is great you dont need to tell it twice what you want it to compute for you ..

Cheers for the suggestions guys i will check those out 👍
