'Perfect Pedal' for my G25 and cockpit (Review is up!)

There is some kind of weird stigma around spending money on toys, yet no one raises an eyebrow after you spend $250 on a night out.

I think i would prefer a perfect pedal over a couple of dodgy facebook photos and a hangover.

Having had a close look at the pedal, does it look like something you might be able to fabricate? Is there a logical break down of components or is it all one tidy unit?
I have been in contact with Mary from perfect pedal for a few months now. Today I received an email from Mary that they are still trying to find a European reseller and they are working on a kit that will be user installed. This is to reduce the costs!

Well done Kikie, I agree also.

The attitude on these forums at times is questionable, its annoying to read such when someone is sharing a purchase many of us are keen to know more of. Indeed its the users own decision what they do or how they spend money on their cockpit. I just dont get the attitude on GTP at times.

So instead of people thanking "Greeze" for putting up his comments/opinion/review instead he gets attitude or reminded what he could or should of bought instead. We never really got an indepth comparison of these to the CSP from Stega who had both and with so little known about them Id of thought someone giving more input on them would be applauded.

Did people go tell Chillicoke oh you should of bought Fanatec etc.
So I think a little respect and appreciation is in order for "Greeze" going to the bother and sharing some details on the pedal with us. Also not everyone wants the best value option or to go with what is the current favourite choice of product.

Youve got my support and one thing some people continue to forget is you can modify the G25/G27 with a proper full sized wheel which you cant do on the Fanatec. I bet Chillis rig wouldnt of looked as nice with a bright orange GT3RS or Turbo S wheel. The real Momo helped make it look awesome.

For me this upgrade helps bring the brakes in line with what the CSP offers even if the price to some may seem a tad high. Its not high when you price other professional products/brand with pedals costing $2500. So I say congratulations and perhaps with a later improved wheel rim its going to be a great setup including the handbrake.

Ive said it before and will again I think "Greeze" your rig has the potential to become one of the best all round rigs on the forums.
Kudos to you my friend. Its what this part of the forums is all about...

$249!!! WTF!!! Anyone who buys this has more money than sense, I'd put it towards a Fanatec TG3 RS V2 & Clubsport Pedals!

Wow, that's a sensible guy, what a sensible advice!
Sense, you said, right?
C'mon, mate, you know you can make your choices, just don't think they're will be the best for everyone else.:)

Being in Australia, the weird core charge refund policy is one of the things that has turned me off. If it is even possible to get it, shipping would be way over the top. Not to mention customs here would drill a hole in it just to make sure the oil didn't contain drugs or living organisms.

Just selling the load cell with a DIY manual would make much more sense. I'm sure most people who are into sim racing enough to buy one can handle a simple bolt on mod and some wire plugs.

This pedal is really interesting, I just don't have the $250 to drop on it along with the $200 I spent on the g27 late last month. Good review and I can imagine this being night and day in comparison to the stock pedal.

It's not a load cell, it's a pressure sensor. And the "kit that will be user intalled" is something new, they don't have it yet. They are still developing it.

Shipping to Australia is indeed, like you said, way over the top. That's why I haven't order the perfect pedal yet. I'm waiting for them to find an European reseller.

Good grief, some of you people are tetchy on here! It's an opinion & we're all welcome to our own, no need to start getting uptight about it.

Sometimes the issue is HOW you voice your opinion that matters. đź’ˇ

Re-read what you said and then read your own signature...

I bet you'll be annoyed Greeze..... I heard someone called Andy is selling the same thing for like $60
Anyway, nice setup. Nice pedal, braking must feel more efficient.

As kikie said, the perfect pedal is a pressure sensor. Andy's was a load cell. Slightly different tech but after a quick wiki search I can see how the pressure sensor would be better.

Load cell and pressure sensor is the same, check the CSP's.

With a Load cell, force is converted into an electrical signal. It measures force directly from a load cell.

A typical load cell used in gaming pedals

Pressure sensor measures pressure indirectly from, in case of the perfect pedal, hydraulic fluid. (= lubitherm). link: http://www.lubecorp.com/ <br>

I'm not annoyed about not buying a $60 pedal, why would I be? Who's this Andy fella and what's he selling anyway? Link please...

Did Andy tell you this personally? 'Cuz I have wanted to buy one for a while now.

Did Andy tell you this personally?
I want to know that as well. I had someone whom bought an APelectrix contacting Andy on my behalf, asking if he could order the APelectrix for me (because he's already a customer, I thought that he had a bigger chance of getting an answer). Nothing so far.

Cheers Kikie :)

I was aware of AP Electrix but not of the guys name.
Ohwww, I thought you asked for a link, which I posted.

So he's not selling them right?

I got an email from Andy a few days ago saying he is still held up, and that he hopes to be selling again in about 4 weeks. He's been saying the same thing for a few months, so time will tell, but he IS still planning on selling his product again.

I dunno what all the fuss is about. I've tried everything, Progressive Springs, load cells... The Perfect Pedal is THE most awesome brake mod ever. This is worth every penny. It has fantastic feel and has improved my lap times by 2-10% depending on the car/track, which is HUGE. I tried my son's stock G27 after a few weeks, and I can't drive with it anymore. Once you get used to this pedal, nothing else compares nor matters...

I use it on the stock G27 plastic pedal mount on wall-to-wall carpet and it works great.

If you are serious about Racing, and have a G25/G27, this is the brake for you, bar none.
