Good evening everyone,


I'm glad to see your answers, by cons, many do not really understand the context.

To begin with I do not mean that events ''against the clock'' on-line.

A game must be versatile and not offer the same things over and over ...

Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi has just impose on us a list of 10 cars at each event and the problem is resolved.

What is annoying is not that the players use the same car but it's still the same car is used.

We do not all have the same goals, I play for myself against the best players, I'm 4th on Spa but that does not prevent me from getting tired of this R390...

I do not want to start a debate, I just want to collect people like me are fed up.

I contacted Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi on Twitter but for now I have no answer, I'll keep you informed.

So you are fed up because you can't be in first? I think the achievement is then to be the first player who ISN'T in the car that everyone else is in. That's the achievement I'd be looking at.

Bingo. If Kaz put up a list of ten cars that were allowed in, then you'd still have ONE car at the very top of the leaderboard. There can be only one!

I'm not saying you have a bad idea.

Joining the WRS Time Trials here on GTPlanet will get you to use different cars every week.

Sepperate leaderboards as well (one for wheel-users, one for DS3-users). I'm top 20 seasonal drifter if i look solely at the people who use a wheel. top 125 drifter if u look at DS3- and wheel-users.

Why? I haven't used my DS3 for anything else than making photo's - i'd like to compare myself to other wheel users.

One leaderboard every week or so just doesn't cut it in this day and age, there is not many games out there that class themselves as sims without boasting a full range of leaderboards for time trials/hot lap events.

The "ONE" time trial leaderboard GT does have is pointless posting a time on for reasons stated by the OP, I do not see the enjoyment of using the same car for time trials week in week out. More restrictions are needed to stop this from happening, car make and year restrictions would be useful if PD changed it for each event.

I still stand by the fact that this game should have a host of leaderboards and not just the one, prologue seemed to do this well and I only played that game for a few weeks before GT5 came out. The prologue leaderboard system seemed to be head and shoulders above the poor showing in GT5.

A leaderboard just for the premium cars would be perfect, using all cars in stock form so we have an equal playing field. This is pretty much what prologue did and from what I remember it worked very well.

OK, I am going to try and help Yinato out here. What I believe he is trying to get across is the fact that the time trials are set up for one or two cars only. Take the latest Spa time trial: at 493 hp and minimum 1000kg weight, there is only one car that will be competitive, the r390. It's not the only car you can get gold with, but if you want to be in the top 250 leaderboard, it's the only car to do it in. Guess what the best car was for the 345HP Trial Mountain Circuit / Reverse / Time Trial? Yep, the r390. Then there was Autum Ring Mini, and Madrid where the Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept '01 was the car to have.

It seems that GT/PD is always setting the HP/Weight requirements to favor these two cars exclusively. All he is asking is that we petition GT/PD to change up the requirements so that other cars are more favorable to use. Nothing against the R390 or the Suzuki, but it gets old using the same car time trial after time trial.

The latest Spa time trial could have stipulated German cars under 500hp and minimum of 1100kgs. Everyone would have been using the Mercedez clk, which is cool as it isn't the R390 or the Suzuki. The next Time Trial could stipulate Italian cars under 50 hp and then the Fiat500 would be the choice.

I'd be really happy if we could get to contact Mr. Kazunori Yamauchi to express our discontent. It will not be easy but nothing is in life, we must at least try, it costs nothing.

Imagine ''time trial'' with a Lamborghini, a BMW M3, Mazda 787B, etc, etc... !

If you help me, we'll make it !
