I'm running the 908 in the 24hr Nurburgring right now. Bob was in 1st with a 6 minute lead on 2nd place car (Audi R8 Race Car '01) until 16 hours into the race when it started to rain. I had to go out so left him by himself. Came back during the 20th hour to find him in 2nd and 5 minutes behind the leader. Took me an hour to coach him back to 1st.

I'll give you the setup when it's done but still a work in progress. Need to work on the setup so Bob can run unattended in the rain...

As for A-Spec, the current setup works well for my style of driving.

Wow, with that kind of camber... milkk, did you have any tire wear issues using that tune in the 24hr of Nurburgring?

@hawk2201:
Thanks from Taiwan! :D

Just so you know, that's a very far from extreme camber angle...

It's been my experience both in the real world and in every sim that properly set camber saves tires. Too much or too little will eat tires (you need only look at the front tires of my daily driver to see what too little does).

My setup is likely one of the safest around to drive in pretty much any spec (big turbo, stock turbo, race hards, race softs, etc etc) as well... Which means you'll spend less time doing you best ballerina impression with a multi-million dollar car and more time running away from the competition. A spin takes away probably half a lap at the Ring from your tires so...

We do know fast setting might not good enough to win the endurance race
Have had to consider the pit stop strategic and raining effect
So,Ask for help!

Thank you for kind advise!

I started the 24hr LeMans yesterday, then went out on the pop all day, Got up this morning with 2 hours to go and he is 4th 5 laps down on the R8 :-(
I'm using the 908 ( I like Bob to earn his living :-) )

Next attempt I will set pit stops to 10% energy level, This should keep the hard tyres in good nick before each stop, you loose so much time round the ring with nearly worn tyres and its along way back to the pits..

Well, I'll definitely give your setup a go. Anything to keep that Audi R8 Race car away! LoL! :P

Here's the setup that I use...

I'm on my 2nd attempt now with the ring 24hr race, 10 hours to go, 4 laps ahead of the Bentley, this time I'm running the R8.

I started the race off with pit strategy at 40%, after 1 hour he was in the lead with stops taken into account, got up this morning and set pitstops at 10%. Its working a treat and defo a good way to do the race.

Main reason for these settings is to make sure they pit while the tyres are still good, and not do 1/2 a lap on worn out tyres. Then after say 12 hours your drivers have less energy so you can safely lower to 10% pitstop strategy..

I used the RKM tune yesterday, with only mid range turbo instead of the high range. Car is wicked now, better turn in, better accel and not so wild coming out of corners. THANX guys
Almost at level 40 now looking forward to trying it out in 24hr Nurb.

I think all these rear spring rates are a bit stiff for the ring. I'm looking into softening the rear to help with the bumps, has anyone got any suggestions?

I think you need to drive them first. ;)

High sways hurt more at the Ring than high spring rates.
