Hey, my names ashracer2011 and I am a newbie to the GTPlanet forums I am doing an endurance race as apart of another sites Le Mans build up, and I have chosen to race in the 908 prototype class.
The race has a few restrictions, that might be worth knowing considering they affect the tuning a little,
Minimum weight of 930kg, this isnt a problem for the 908 as its that weight as standard.
Engine Power Restriction of 650hp, this is to equalise the class.
Tyres are resticted to Medium and Hard Compounds.
these are the settings I am running at the moment
Aero
Front - 57
Rear - 85
Transmission - default settings as they seem good.
Drivetrain
LSD settings
Accelereation - 53
Deceleration - 15
Initial Torque - 40
Suspension
Ride Height
Front - (-21)
Rear - (-21)
Springs
Front - 14.6
Rear - 14.1
Dampers (extension)
Front - 7
Rear - 7
Dampers (compression)
Front - 7
Rear - 7
Anti-Roll Bars
Front - 5
Rear - 5
Wheel Alignment
Camber Angle
Front - (0.4
Rear - (0.2)
Toe Angle
Front - (0.00)
Rear - (0.00)
Brakes
Front - 4
Rear - 6
My feelings about this setup are that it is capable of 3.25s on soft tyres but it has a small tendency to be a bit sensitive under acceleration, and tyres seem to be wearing out quite quickly. Managed 4 laps on soft but medium they where only lasting 6ish.
Main tyre wear problem is the rear, mainly because of the acceleation characteristics of this car with the turbo. but I am being very careful in the traction zones with acceleration and braking.
I am looking for help to try and get a setup that's quick, gives good handling, isn't twitchy and can keep the tyres in good condition for a sensible amount of laps, as it is an endurance race of 1.5 hours so staying out the pits is critical.
Thanks for taking the time to read all this, Please post your help below
