the game looks great. you guys are nuts.

the lighting's over the top but I dont think they were going for a stark film grain "realistic" look anyway. my only qualm is the wheel animations.

It looks fantastic. It just still has the 'PGR plastic car look' that should have been a distant memory.

And the wheel animations are horrible. Huge letdown for me, personally.

No it's a DBR9, it has the outtakes on the arches, the DBRS9 doesn't have thoes.

The probelm with the wheels is the motin blur "look" not the none moving wheels. The wheels in GT4 do look bad but not when they are motoin blurred. PGR2 had a very bad motioin blur effect dispite having full 3d wheels. PGR3 just looks like a solid transparent object, like a see through nickle..

I guess so, its just that I never noticed though. I consider myself very "graphics aware," if you will; and it still never looked bad to me. Give me a comparison or something... like what they "should" look like from another game with better animation.
Ive heard this many times about other games too, but they wheels look good to me on most games

Who said anything about looking at the wheels while driving? In the replay where most people look at their car, the wheels look like ****.

And I have enough teenbeat kids "patting me on the back" at the dragstrip. No need for another on the internet.

well, considering their track record for kick ass audio and all we've heard from PGR3 vids and sound clips, there's no doubt in my mind about whethere they'll get the sound right.

these guys record induction, engine bay, and exhaust separately. listen to the sound change depending on the camera and you'll notice it right away. delicious.
