that saleen looks damn cool. and i never thought they'd stick a GT500 in there (the old one I mean). looks like it has a bodykit reminiscent of a certain GT500 of nicolas cage movie fame. :)

wow. this puts the car tally comfortably over their projected 80 cars number. đź‘Ť

The in-car view looks damn nice, but other than that it pretty much looks like it'll play like the previous PGR.

with a whole new car roster, different cities, insane graphics, and the sound! dear god... updated physics, photomode, better xbox live play, the ability to make your own tracks.

yep pretty much the same, I gotta admit. But the gameplay wasnt exactly broken. :)

No kidding, the gameplay from PGR2 was perfect, I have NO complaints about the physics. So obviously hearing it plays similar to PGR2 was a relief. :)
kinigitt, do you have a gamertag?

So, it's looking like PGR3 will have Rufs instead of Porsches, and it's been known for some time that NFS:MW will not have Ferraris. Interesting... :odd: :boggled:
BTW, that car list and those vids are flippin' sweet.

The only difference to that GT500 in Gone in 60 secs was that it had grey with blue stripes mate.

yeah i do but i havent played in ages. i doubt I'll have the green to get myself a 360 anytime this year either.

crotchialimpact is the tag.

Friggen AARRRRGGHHHHH. I just found out I won't have enough money to buy an X360, PGR3, and still have enough left to buy my family Christmas presents. Well, this puts an Xbox 360 on the top of my Christmas list :sly:

Well I went out and reserved my Xbox 360 and PGR3 today during lunch. I got the one with the hard drive and everything on it, I guess it will be my present to myself.

The game play was fun in PGR2 but what i hated was the game structure that had little replay value. after my 25th Platnium i gave up after realizing if i started over the only way to get platnium was to use the car with the most bars in many cases. With very small car classes the cpu would always beat you whith the fasted cars if you used anything that didnt have the most bars. And the lack of a free run with replays also wasnt pleasing. I traded it in for R-type Final and never looked back. So my exitement for this game isnt as high as it could be for a game like Forza2 or RalliSport 3.

According to our winner, he says it plays the same as PGR2, so PGR2 gamers will have no problem picking it up.

He also said, you can feel the difference of performance of cars.

He told us the F50 GT is a monster and that the F50 is nothing compared to it.

He says the F50 is still fast, but you can certainly see the difference between it and the F50 GT and Ariel Atom.

Well I hope the gameplay does change from PGR2 as I never really liked it. And don't get me wrong I love the principle behind it. If PGR3 plays as well as RSC2 I'd be a very happy man :D (although RSC2 handlings abit crap on the tarmac stages).

I completely loved PGR2. The physics are clearly not that realistic. The performance of the cars is more "general", i.e. how you'd 'expect' that kind of car to feel, but you can't slide that much or have that much control in real life. All that being said, I found the game more fun than any of the recent racing games I've played including Forza and GT4. The only other games that have impressed me more than PGR2 throughout my history of gaming since '95 have been the original NFS, NFS II, NFS Porsche Unleashed and Live For Speed (oh and Grand Prix 2).

I was a great fan of PGR2 and the new one looks like another musthave but I have a few remarks : While the carlist looks impressive at first sight I fear most cars will offer basically similar drivingexperiences. Gone are the "slower" cars like Civics type R or the ClioV6's and those gorgious classics (wich I liked so much in PGR2) are gone too. I don't know about the similar "handling", I mean PGR2 was good but after GT4, Forza and Enthusia I thought the new PGR3 would have had an improved Physics-engine. This doesn't seem to be the case. So basically PGR3 seems to be PGR2 with better looks, an in-carview and a photomode. I will wait and see.

Yeah that is also the thing I hate... only these fast cars... I don't like those superfast cars, not in GT4, not in Enthusia and not in PGR2... Civic Type R, Suparu Impreza WRX STi, oldtimer yeah, those are the cars I want to race, also in multiplayer. it is much easier for less experienced players to control normal cars. I would prefer just having normal cars instead of just having those 180 mph cars.... that is a tribute to those burnout noobs who start complaining when the speed experience is below the one of a F16 fighter in a small canyon .... đź‘Ž

Personally I prefer having just cars that go over 170mph, not that I wouldn't want the Civic Type R and Impreza as well, it's just i wouldn't swap any car on the list for either of those two. As for similar driving experiances, the creators have said each car has "it's own handling characteristics" but we'll just have to see i suppose.

To be honest I also don't care about those supercars in real life... Ferrari Enzo, McLaren etc... Aston Martin... just not my thing... or Forumula 1... I prefer normal cars - why not tuned to 700 hp? fine for me... I'd take a Skyline over any Ferrari anytime... but that is probably just my opinin... I'll buy PGR3 nevertheless though....

I'd rather have a robin reliant over a TVR.

actually I really like TVR, especially the Sagaris... beautiful cars... but I think I turned into the wrong direction, since personal opinions are not really relevant... they've cut down the variety of cars : PGR2 had everything from Oldtimers over middle class sports cars and SUV's up to world's fastest sports cars. And now only the questionable idea of super fast cars are left... You can't really tell me that this an advantage. Sure - programming cars with 80 k polygons in a launch title with brand new dev kits is a problem... You can't offer all those classes from PGR2 with just 3 cars per category. Tuning has never been an option for Bizzare
>>>> they made a logical step towards the popular supercars Ă  la Ferrari ...

I understand that, but I don't like it. I'll have to wait for PGR4 then....

hmmm...been following PGR3 all this time and i must say it just keeps chugging along. I was thinking at first they would tell us it would be released just in time for the new year ....but it seems they are staying consistent with thier release date so no more worries from me :)

this and Perfect Dark are a couple of the reasons why the 360 just might be one of the first systems i have bought the same time it is released in many years. đź‘Ť

When I was at a Wal-Mart, I saw a (I guess) promotional XBOX360 unit. On there, had a chance to see videos of the racing games on there. And of course among them, Project Gotham Racing 3. Like I said in the past, I hated the series simply because it wasn't Gran Turismo. Nowadays, I have respect for the series. Why? I think it's pretty fun. I jokingly said that PGR3 was Dance Dance Revolution meets Ridge Racer in terms of a rhythmetic-type racing game. Once you get used to the course, you can flail your car around any way you like, only as long as you don't hit the walls. I don't own an XBOX, but I think if you liked PGR on the old XBOX, then this one should surpass both of the past games. Even though it was just a video, I actually seen the visuals up front on the monitor at Wal-Mart for the XBOX. The store says the XBOX360 comes out November 11th, so I'm sure that if PGR3 becomes a launch title (remember, I haven't been in this thread for a while, so if anything is old news, then my bad), ALL the racing fans will want this game, if not the Forza types wanting a sequel.

Other than that, this should be great fun. Electronic section or electronics store in question- PLEASE have PGR3 available as a demo at least! Carry on...
