Welcome to Photomode Magazine Cover Competition Week 13
This competition will be testing cover design, photoshop abilities and photomode abilities of residents of the planet.

Rules
Only Imageshack thumbnails will be considered for entry.
Use your own pictures.
Maximum 2 entries per person, per week. *NEW*
Mark FINAL ENTRY in red on your final entry.
Stick with the theme.
Cite all sources you get your magazine logos from (not on the magazine, but in the post)
The picking will go like the Photomode Competition goes by a poll
Failure to abide by the rules results in DQ.

Theme
This weeks theme, as picked by Easy$$, will be Automotive Paint Catalog Cover
Further Explanation: Like PPG or House of Kolor. Lets see the shiniest, custom paintjobs out there. Photoshopping custom paint is encouraged.

Deadline
Saturday July 2nd.

I think easy$$ looking for custom paint job (not stickers thou), or make your car super shiny so customers believe that company's products are real good

Very busy week ... not sure I have time for this
but I will try my best ... hope you guys will work on this one

Well, seeing how this is a PS comp all bets are off. However, I would like to see more emphasis placed upon the finish of the cars rather than bodykits and the like. I think that would make for a more sucessful entry given the theme.

Thanks Franz, I was just thinking that the shiniest/bestest paint jobs are usually on vehicles with all the modern conveniences added. Kinda what a paint company would like to show...

Makes people go "ooohh" or "ahhhh" :)

take this as my final entry so far i might do more, its more of a general information catalogue than a maker specific rag, only the cougar's paint is photoshopped i was happy with the paint of the other's anyway :dopey:
FINAL ENTRY

Mr Laocean
Question - Could we make up our own magazine title, and could we filter in some stuff on the cars, such as carbon fiber? :)

Probably if your carbon fibre is part of your paint job I don't see why not.
I'd guess Easy$$ would be easy on this. He could clarify.

Check the rules for the compo. Yes on the title.

Cheers!

LOL! I don't know if mine qualifies, but eh..first try. If I get DQ'ed, then let it be haha..I'll wait for next round to come in.

Yeah the CF thing is cool...just remember the emphasis is on the automobiles finish.

Also, it doesnt HAVE to be a Magazine cover. It can be a catalog for a paint company or something of the like. I know this is named the Magazine Comp but the same design techniques go into something like a catalog cover as well so we souldnt limit oursleves strictly to magazine covers.

This my first attempt at the whole body color thing with my outdated photoshop 6 I hoping I can at least get v8.0 soon so I can do better

The windows on the GT are blue. Might want to fix that.

Also if you're calling out 'now painting foreigns and exotics' wouldnt you want to showcase the cars youve done? You only have one exotic and the rest are domestic.

Saturday July 2th.

 July tooth?!?!?

Sorry I can't participate this week, I normally paint on Saturday and I will be at the beach all weekend, including July tooth.

:dopey:👍

Nice Franz! (pronounce nice as 'niiiccce'). Quite slick n' clean.

Hit The Rumble Strip before you head out for Canada Day.
My beers are a' chillin'.

Hopefully I don't botch this one.

**edit** Ive started something, if I can get it done in time I'll enter it.

if you guys wanted .. I can extend it abit
but the next week thread will be up with no delay as long as I can get the next week theme on time

WOW! That's fantastic Mr. Toad! Some of the finest photoshop work I've seen around these parts! So far, you got my vote!

... okay... just picked myself up from the floor. You've cracked me up again Franz....
Really don't want you having 'a movement' over it... too funny! Thanks!:D

Thanks also 440 Charger, much appreciated!

Photoshop FYI: I also used a third shot just of road and 'streaked lights' under and over the car. That's how I got that 'electric' background look.

Cheers!

I was wondering how you get those "streaked lights"
now I know you just copy and paste from other shots ... creative method!
I think the quality of entries has been raised very high
most who are new in photoshop will have trouble getting votes in this compo I guess
