Photomode/PhotoShop Comp Theme Bank

Since the PhotoMode/PhotoShop Comp has been a bit slow entry-wise in the past weeks, I figured that this would be a place for all to suggest a theme. You don't have to enter the comp, or any comp for that matter, to suggest a theme. The more the merrier! But, please, try to keep the themes fairly simple and straight foreward. Also, if the theme is a bit weird please include a little explanation.

So, get to it! Suggest one (or two or three) & I'll post it here.

Themes:

Wallpaper theme

Take any particular photo in GT4 and make it into a sort of wallpaper by whichever means you think looks best. You Can use text, filters, other pics, whatever makes it look better to you. Must be 1024x768 minimum. I know franz already has a spectacular ss shot, as well as rev and some others.

Sorry if any of these have been done, I’m not a regular...

One idea would be "Brake Lights” most of the cars have really nicely rendered brake lights (the NSX is great!) and are surprisingly accurate. (They even got the extra center brake light on the pontiac gto)

Another idea would be "Overtaking: Comic Book Style" where you show a really stunning overtaking move using a series of 3 to 5 different photos (with emphasis on style) to 'tell the story' of the pass. (maybe even require the individual images to be framed together into one image, too look like a page out of a comic book)

Also, "Photo without a car" could be interesting; there is a far amount of detail in the backgrounds and some of the smoke/dust effects that trail a car, anything as long as there is no car in the frame

As a newbie-friendly theme:

"Postcard"

Anything you can shoot in GT4, or combine several shots. Modify in any way and add text if needed. Size must be exactly 600 x 400 in either orientation. For this theme I would suggest not thumbnails or previews but post the whole image to forum.

Has the theme "Reflections" been done before? What it means is structures or whatever reflected on a car's hood or doors or whatever. Don't know if it makes much sense, but if I had a pic at hand, I'd post it. However, I've done a few pics of that myself.

A GT4 add, just advertise GT4 by making a folder, poster, wallpaper or whatever to promote GT4:)

Do ANYTHING to promote GT4 the best way possible.

I've been wanting to suggest this for a while, but I've been lazy.

"2 in to 1"

Join two different cars to make one new car. You could have any number of variations, eg: cars must be joined between the A and C pillars, front of FWD to rear of RWD to make a new 4WD, cars must be joined at the base of the window line.

Even simpletons like myself can take 2 pics in GT4 and cut one of the cars in half to join on the other pic. The true maestros will be able to have fun getting all the lines of the cars and the colour matching perfect.

siamese cars - take a pic of a car and add elements of another model to it, ie. grill, fenders, headlights, hood scoop. i was thinking an MG with 240 zg fenders and a m3 gtr style hood ornament would be sweet.

DISMEMBERING CAR CRASHES!!! Make a phot of a crash sooo gnarly that one of the cars is broken in half or chunks are flying everywhere, etc. general auto brutality mayhem... I think that would be fun..

Surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet; decapitation. Turn any tin-top into a cabrio :).

Touge Ring Masters magazine cover.

- shoot any japanese cars only at trail mountain or deep forest.. must have at least two cars (or more) drifting together and must have intense action in it..

edit*

somehow I don't see two player drifitng being able be saved and much less photographed.

treefingers
Junker - rusted fenders, flat tires, broken lights, etc...
Very good theme but count me out, waaay too difficult. Still it would be interesting to see what some photoshoppers here can get out of this. 👍

Yeah, junkers would be hard. I'd have to cheat and use Lightwave to do something that involved.
