43? wow. I lost count when I got around to post mine and it was already pretty high at 20 something. 43? That's crazy.
Because on most test photos I took it looked good. But after inspecting it further it has a bit of a green hue to it so I miiiight change the settings regulation in the future, if noone complains then it'll be as is for the moment. Easy for newcomers to join in with less rules to obey. Why is the exposure setting at EV +1.0 ? It kind of makes all the pics look washed out.
Admittedly that could just be my old eyes, so feel free to tell me I'm wrong
You posted a bit too late, but this one time it's ok
FML! I'm hoping for a top 40 finish. The poll entries itself are collected, just need to be posted but that's out of my power
We have 43 entries btw
Me too.FML! I'm hoping for a top 40 finish.
Confident!Me too.
Really wish I didn't have to remake my original entry; would have definitely won with it
Looking at the posts, I see many with great potential for the top ranks. However, I am a bit unsure about the task at hand. Just to be sure and to judge fairly in my evaluation: The task was, after all, to bring "legendary" liveries from past GT series into the present, e.g., apply them to a newer car model. Personally, I applied this with small adjustments, so I used the new possibilities of the editor and created a paint job with small, creative changes to make it look contemporary. I hope I have interpreted the task correctly.
"This might be a bit obvious, but I'd suggest "nostalgia". In other words, liveries from some of the most famous race cars in GT's history, like the Tom's Castrol Supra, or the Pennzoil GT-R, or even the Suzuki Escudo... I think it would be cool to see how people can take those themes and apply them to some of the newer cars in GT7."
I think the technical aspect is one part, but even more challenging ist the creativity factor. transforming old liveries with a lack of detail to modern times, using all functions of the GT7 editor.
It involves no creativity, which is something I seriously lack and thus can't put anything good looking together on my own For replicas somebody else did the creative part already, it's then just a matter of copying it correctly.People really like doing replicas.
Might I suggest an EV of 0.7 or 0.8? Not too satisfied with my photos since the red looks a bit washed-out thanks to the exposure. It's slightly darker in most environments.Because on most test photos I took it looked good. I second this. I put my creativity more towards bringing low res ref images towards creating decals. It involves no creativity, which is something I seriously lack and thus can't put anything good looking together on my own For replicas somebody else did the creative part already, it's then just a matter of copying it correctly.

The quality of the race pics on this is fantastic. We're at the level now where it's difficult to tell game from reality.
Clouded sky + no sun + a bit more contrast =The quality of the race pics on this is fantastic. We're at the level now where it's difficult to tell game from reality.
Yeah but I literally had to convince myself by looking at the Gran Turismo helmet in the car.Clouded sky + no sun + a bit more contrast =
