2.0 for me!

Seeing as I just had knee surgery and have recovered enough to get around the house, I'll be at home quite a bit for the next month!

Theme: An angel in the darkness.
Explanation: A white car at a night location - focus on headlights, reflections, brake lights, etc.
Phototravel: Yes
Tracks: Nighttime locations only (headlights MUST be on)
Cars: White cars ONLY

What happened to your knee ? anywys, great entry. i love white cars. they're the best when it comes to night photography. looks like you Will have all the time in the world for now. hope everything's ok from now though.

how is the opening animated banner working for all you guys? Is it slow, annoying, or good? 💡

I say the the replay part is a bit too fast and the shutter emulation is too slow. I like the idea of the editing part, but not obvious enough to draw my attention in my first viewing. It will be so much better if it is done in flash, becuase you can add more fading with less bandwidth, but not sure if we can insert swf in GTP thou :indiff:

Many awesome guys in 2.0 this time, it's gonna be a great competition. For me, facing arsenal, atlop and GR will be so much fun, at least I don't have to spend too much edit my entry :D However 440, Sejtur and 725 will be missed this round

I tore the meniscus (cartilage) playing hockey. Yeah, after school i do nothing but sit in front of the TV or computer...

Man, that sucks. 👎 I tore mine too, AND the anterior cruciate ligament about a month ago, still waiting for surgery. 6 to 8 months to recover after it... :ill:

Entry - PMC Rules

Please, no stealth or black-on-black themes for me.:)

I didn't know the Tournament was back. I guess I haven't been around much lately since I started school back up. Anyway, I guess I will enter the PMC rules side of it.

Lmracer, I'm still here, I'm just busy with school that's why I don't take pics (at the moment). But I'll still be following the tourney. Good luck fellas. 👍

Hold on a sec, you're at school? And you have a Charger?
I can think of 3 main explanations:
-You're a teacher
-You don't really have a Charger
-You're bloody lucky

:dunce:

Just to think of some themes if we run out:

Wild! Any pic of a car going crazy on any track, no phototravel.

Pink and fluffy: Any car on any track including phototravel, that seems like a baby car, a teddy bear, whatever. Preferably pink.

Wet: ANything that reminds you of water. Hopefully you don't have to go to the bathroom when you're taking it...

Oof, that leg injury sounds quite nasty. Hopefully this comp will provide you with some recovery time. :)

btw,Does anyone remember the site where you can randomize/shuffle names? It could be handy to generate the Round 1 match-ups. Or else I could just pull names out of a hat (?) :dunce:

And thanks for the further themes Cooper 👍

Update:
*4 Spots under PMC rules remaining*

Thanks Franz. I'll see if I can make some changes.

jacoja, what car is that in your avatar? Commodore what? Where'd you get the pic?

IDK if there are any randomizing websites, but you could always write down random numbers and line em up that way?

it looks like a vectra

you're probably gonna get fat  just kidding :D get well soon. take it easy for now i guess.

That particular car is the Holden Commodore SS VE.
My dad recently bought a new black Commodore SS-V… which has a few more features then the standard SS (Bigger wheels, Sport tail lamps, etc). Very fun car to drive 👍 👍

Not a bad idea.

dman, the pain was BRUTAL! Don't want to remember it, I almost passed out. :ouch:

About 440, I believe of the options mentioned, he's a teacher (or principal), since I remember reading (I believe itr was in his gallery) that he had to 'get back to work) or something...

jacoja, I too had doubts about that car, since the badge is a no-brainer, but the headlight shape and the hood opening at the front are almost exactly like the Astra. Almost a perfect match, really. 💡

btw, can I submit another theme idea(s)?

That's what people call "saving up"

Same goes for me, I'm planning on getting me a MKIV Supra, I've been saving up for it since my 12th.

Anyway, good to see the spots getting picked so fast, I can't wait untill I can start against someone 👍

I kind of see what you mean. The '02/03 Astra turbo has a simular look to the Commodore, but I would never mistake them as the same car at first glance (really, they’re both very different).

As many as possible would be great 👍

Cool, I have a few more:

Theme: Lost It
depict a in-race situation (at least 2 cars in photo) where at leas one of them is out of control.
Cars: Any, as long as there are two showing
Location: Any
Phototravel: No

Theme: Dancing
Shot of at least 2 cars synchronized doing anything (as if they're dancing, hence the theme... )
Cars: Any
Location: Any
Phototravel: No

Theme: Attention to Detail
Focus on some part of a car (hidden depths) ;)
Cars: Any
Location: Any
Phototravel: Yes

Theme: True Blue
Photograph a car against a blue background (sky, building, whatever)
Cars: Any, as long as it is blue (any tone of blue)
Location: Any
Phototravel: No

I'll try to think of some more, if necessary.

About the Holden, granted they're different, but in your avatar, if you remove the badge, it could very well pass for an Astra, with tuned headlights and sports front bumper.

Or maybe I'm just stupid.

We have 3 places remaining, with just two days to go.
Try PM'ing people who you think might be interested in the comp. 👍

I could do it, but I will not be available for the final week (providing I get that far!)

The competition will begin as soon as we get the final two entries (one day to go). But we may have to wait beyond the deadline if we are low on PMC entries.

Or you could just let there be two empty slots, meaning two PMC competitors would advance automatically to the next round. That's how it was done in the last comp if I remember right. I would not wait too long now that everyone is ready to do this. :sly: :)

I am in Mr Jaco-bob-06-07 8)

Entry: PMC Rules

Theme: Japanese Supercars
Cars: Japanese car with over 250BHP
Tracks: Any
Phototravel: Allowed

yay! Welcome R33 :)
Alright, unless someone enters within the next few hours, one lucky bastard using the PMC rules will automatically advance to the next round (thanks for reminding me atlop 👍 ).

Ok, to keep it simple and non-computerized (and to find out who's vursing who), I will be pulling names out of a hat! The good old-fashion, reliable way :) (and I won't peep)

The competition will commence soon.
