Entries Review Well, it is a little difficult to review PMC Style entries, but Ill give it a shot:
BMW M3 Amazing piece of Photography / Composition combo. The reflections are very well captured, has well has its background, contrasting the blurred with the sharpness of the car. It got my vote.
Spyker First of, I didnt know the spyker came in silver. I remember it in black and white, not in silver. But I have to say, great composition, and great contra-luz background combined with a white full of reflection car. The colours and the blueish tone are very just eye catching.
Cadillac Well, I like lots and lots of blur, and it gets well in some images, but not quite in this one. I think the blur is too much exaggerated for the type of shot, it doesnt feel right because the road beneath the car is blurred also, with the car very sharp, and looking like it is floating. Also the subject is just too centered in the image, and a in front shot is not quite my forte.
TVR Amazing in all ways. No more words needed.
Aston Martin An ok shot, but not quite impressive. It needed some more angle work, has well has rotating the front wheels to the right (from driver position). The blur isnt working (maybe the Fs are not low enough) , and if maybe the camera where a bit higher, the shot could be a least more interesting.
The Sepia tone one Its a great shot, saved with low quality. It is really a pity, the shot is good, but it looks like it was saved in standard or in fine mode, instead of superfine. There are too many artifacts, and it is really low res. I would advise the owner of this shot, to look for his photo mode camera settings.
The Ruf I am impressed with the number of votes this shot has. The car is too blurred for my taste and it is a aggressive shot, combined with a bit too bright/not enough contrast problem (normally caused in the ring).
Zonda Not quite seeing what the photographer is aiming for. The trees? They are sliced in the upper part. The car? The rear of it is also sliced. Also, the wheels arent even spinning. I would have put the camera a bit lower, and then try to not cut or slice the trees or the car (depending on the subject).
TVR at Tsukuba Well, the shot is not bad. I like the water smoke trail, but the rear of the car just kills me. It is not your fault (who ever took the shot), but it just doesnt make it for me. Also, the shot could use a little cropping in the bottom.
Nismo The crowd must be saying: Hey man, you forgot to lower the Fs, there is no blur man, you know how bad rendered we are, we look like made of paper.
TVR Cerbera An aquarium type of shot. It would have my vote, if the car was not sliced, and the wheels were spinning
wait a minute, how are the wheels not spinning if I am seeing the grass with motion blur???
Tommy Kaira It is a good photo, but it just doesnt make it for me. Every line is directing to the ugly rear of that car, and the wing doesnt help at all. Also, I think that the white background would be better with a black car, and not with a silver one.
Subaru Simple and effective. I am not to found of this kind of shots, but the colour, light, the rear lights and the blur are just too amazing to ignore.
Tommy Kaira ZZ Well, I think it should show a bit of the end of the bridge, and the fact that all the bad texture of the road are exposed. Great detail on the car, but the shot itself, it doesnt quite stand IMO.
DMC(?) Its not a bad shot, but is way too bland. The whites are a bit to high, and it could use some major cropping.
Aston Martin (last one) 2 Problems: Too dark and bad camera angle. The camera should be lower, and more to the left, with a bit rotation, less zoom and capturing the whole building with a lot of blur, not centering though.
This was all in my Humble Opinion, and I know, some comments are a bit harsh, but the only way to get better at this is from other peoples reviews and tips. I hope no one gets offended by this review.
Great work all around and keep it up. 👍
