NTX vs speedster:
No doubt I have to vote for NTX, becuase his style works really well with the theme. Not to mention the dusk-like tone catch my eyes everytime. Speedster's entry is great as well, but it doesn't scream
limit for me.
drift vs mog:
Can you believe they almost take a same picture? Same location, same long straight, just different direction
Mog continues his purple tone, it works well with red and blue car colour scheme, but I think purple is the biggest enemy of Citi d Aria, unless make a strong overiding like what he did with his castrol celica. For drift's, his car colour choice is far more harmonic to the background colour. Both composition and blur job are slight better as well. Interesting to see Drift using half opacity blur layer, which is another plus for me. Final word, drift got my vote.
jgda9rs vs Ultra:
Ultra must be falling in love with low front angle lately. Very good cleanup and blur technique, however the road blur isn't the best yet, I would rather lens blur the original texture before adding noise, also the bottom part of the photo doesn't get blur properly, my other suggestion is to enlarge the canvas before blurring. Jgda9rs is the one I vote for. Very interesting colour and angle even though it does not as sharp as ultra's. His entry is more about underdog theme, it shows the S14 trying very hard to match up supercars like ZZII and W12. In terms of technique, it is interesting to see horizontal motion blur on road texture to eliminate the eyesores. Also note that there is Nissan banner on the wall to match the S14, but I bet it is a coincidence
mini vs dman:
I love dman's work in general, but this time I am a bit disappointed on what he offers. Good choice on the car and feature, but not enough cleanup specially for closeup shot like that. Mini's is just about as good as dman's, I vote for him because more interesting lighting and subject matters. However it is very hard to pick my favorite on this pair.
