Heres my first one i put together, its just two cars . I wanna do a multi car one with about 9 cars all drifting but im not to skilled with PSP (Photo Shop Pro).

What do you guys think? is it decent?

looks good to me ...
if you use AI to help you on camera location, you can get 9 cars drifting no problem
but you must be very good in drifting to do so
anyway .. keep up your good work

Guys, Thanks for this thread and the tuturial, i have often wondered how this sort of thing is done, so last night off i went and found photoshop 7 to give it a go.

I am starting a graphic design course in september cos its something ive always been interested in, but was too busy at work to give it a try. This is handy as i get to learn some more about it before september !! 👍

Thanks

Here's another attempt from me
this time I've put a Honda S800 RSC Race Car in the back of
a Ford SVT F-150 Lightning
I haven't visited this thread in about a week but this quite an impressive idea for multiple cars. And its amuzing at the same time. 👍

nice work guys!!
Ryosuke_Gumna > good to see someone trying midfield again
if you interested doing track photo again, try R246
there are 3 stable cameras in lap 2

franz: do you have any more locations with a non-chase camera?
these are the two from tokyo

nice, there are 3 more in Tokyo
1. down slope before going under bridge (just after the last Michelin ad)
2. Before Finish Line (the end of lap 2)
3. Outside Honda Building on Lap 3

There are more in other places. e.g.
Tahati Maze - 1st Lap, 3rd set Hairpins, the 2nd corner
(this is the camera angle I used for 3 Subaru Rally Panorama)
Infineon Raceway - 1st Lap, 3rd corner

I found many cams look stable, but actually it got elevation change or slow zoom change
it drives me crazy ... that's why I came up an idea using AI cars to get whatever cam I want, but very time consuming
if PD release a camera list for all locations and changes on location-wise, that will help me alot

Why do you need stable cameras?

Why don't you bring up any trackside camera, raise or lower it to maximum, pick a common point to aim at (corner of sign, certain smudge on track etc...) and just set up identical focal lengths, exposures etc...

That's what I did for mine back here (01 Apr)-
somebody
I just aim the camera at the corner of the one way sign for each pic.

when the cars are very close together like yours, you can do the way you said
... but if they are not that close, it will be pretty much impossible

yes i found that too.
some cameras move very slightly as the car approaches/passes
