GIMP is enough different in behavior from familiar Windows programs, the way it presents multiple frames for the image, toolboxes, and menus, and its terminology sometimes seems different. I can understand why "it's too hard."
GIMPShop is worth looking into if that's the source of your problem with GIMP. It takes the GIMP application and re-shells it in a more familiar menuing environment, and uses terms and tools the way Photoshop users "expect" to see them.
The difficulty comes in keeping versions matched. As GIMP updates, GIMPShop updates. Sooner or later.

No it is not. Unless you've stolen it. Posting entirely to be cute about something is really obnoxious.
There is a learning to curve to any software, more so when it has as many options and features as PS or Gimp. Gimp just feels weird I think if you are coming from using Photoshop for some time, but honestly if you take the time to learn it you will produce vastly better results than searching for the easier application to use. Same goes for PS or anything.
