Anyone got tips on colour change?

I still budy on that Auris; I've now found a rear bumper for it, but it is in grey. I've tried everything, but I can't get it into the right colour without losing the shadows and highlights and stuff.

Any help?

Try selecting contigous regions, then click colorize, but that's only if you use GIMP. I don't know about the others. With this method, I was able to color spoilers, darken them, decolor spoilers, etc. When you are using the contigous regions thing, you should drag until you get it right. If that doesn't work, then go to MS Paint, use the curvy line and use the thickest line possible, then put a boarder around the bumper using many curvy lines. Make sure it is a color that is different than it's surroundings. Then use contigous regions on GIMP and drag until you get all of the rear bumper. The boarder will be off after you do so, and copy and paste to your photo. Then colorize the selected rear bumper to the color you want. :)

Speaking of coloring, while recoloring my hummer photo i ran into a lot of problems with the red showing back up. I never knew what the sponge tool was for, but in the end it saved me a hell of a lot of time by letting me desaturate the red parts.

I feel good that i now know an extremely useful tool :D

Lol i always use that tool. Its pretty good because you can deside where you wanna desaturate and its pretty acurate :)

Are there any other tools that could help me out that i have no idea about, lol. I only have photoshop 7 though (I run Windows Millenium )

not exact areas. I'm pretty fine with photoshopping, i was just wondering if there was any other obscure tools that could save me some time.

Updated. Sorry for posting it one by one, but the last picture was a bit far back IMO.

What do ya guys think? Am I getting better?

looks effortless, Like this one i did in 15 minutes. I don't know about you but i think the idea is pretty humourous. Thought about it when i laid in bed awake this morning.

i shrunk the image on imageshack to fit on this forum and not be large to the point where every one has to scroll left and right, unlike SOME people.

Enjoy and have a good laugh?

i started & finished this TODAY. So there's some pieces that look funny [like the far-side of the bumper]

Is that a VW Golf GTI with a Audi A4 Touring Car DTM body kit, spoilers, and rims? If so, how the hell you did all of that?👍

The only problem, I see is that the front bumper is higher than the side skirts and rear bumper. +Rep for your amazing work.

It takes me 3 days to finish adding and touching up a body kit. :(

yeah; you got it -- Audi Tourer was the basis for all the brushing i did today.. lol my fuggin hand hurts ..

thanks for the comments guys -- this one isnt a car; but its a t-shirt design for the website on the shirt. I figure its better to be a little different than everything frigging centered.

Here is what I did.
FINAL CLIO PICTURE.

Now chopping a Lamborghini. Any tips on how to add body kits?
.. not on a lamborghini :scared:

As for your recent chop -- the hoodscoop is VERY flat & mishapen; otherwise pretty decent.:dopey: Be careful on your selections [around the front tire especially]
