Yeah, I could feel the top of the screws when I rubbed my hand over my thigh, and my right leg had a bulge on it. And it felt really nasty when I bumped it, it goes all the way through your body, even to the top of your head.

Brrr.

And another bit of nasty-ness, when I asked the nurse to give me my former bodypart, they gave it to me in a plastic bag, with bits of bone and flesh still on it.

That sounds awful. Glad that it's no longer part of you. 👍
I would have probably been sick if I saw my own flesh on the thing. I'm not a great fan with blood or guts but to see my own? :ill: if I saw pieces of my own bone it would make me feel really I'll.

Just hanging out of a friend's car...

Well, as long as I can remember, when I woke up in the morning, and I stood up and stretched myself, there were days that it felt like someone poked something into my hipjoint, but that pain went away immediatly.

One day I was working, and I stepped off a small car trailer, it felt like something was jammed in between my hipjoint, and the pain didn't go away, infact it got worse, after a month of walking and working with a limp in my leg, I went to see the doctor, and he sent me to the hospital, where I found out that both my hipjoints show the wear and tear of a 60 year old.

They told me that both my thighbones are to straight under my body, and that caused that I only used a small portion of my balljoint to walk on, ~30% to be precise.
So they cut me open, chopped up my leg, and turned my balljoint to the outside, so make it more natural. It helped for a good 1,5 years, and now the pain is slowly coming back, on both sides now. So, in the near future I'll get 2 new hipjoints.

Well good luck with the new hip joints you'll be getting soon. Hope you don't get any further trouble.

My knees, shoulders and elbows have the same issues, only slightly less painfull.
But we just keep on rollin'.

No need for being sad.

Here comes my expert advice again (sarcasm by the way). Have you tried drinking more milk? Also there's lots of stuff that's good for your joints, maybe that'll help.

Yup, .5 liter, every day, calcium-magnesium tablets, but I was build wrong, so it only slows it down a bit. But I learned to live with my stiff and achy joints.

Sorry to hear that man. My legs sometimes creak while I stand and my ankles make cracking noises all the time lol. Not sure if that is normal or not. I've never broken a bone in my body yet though, and I've had some nasty falls. Must be luck or I have a strong skeleton. I'm not exactly well built either - pretty thin.

Ouch! I did work experience in a hospital and watched a hip replacement...it was quite memorable! Also if you ever need some carpentry doing don't be shy to ask a orthopaedic surgeon.

Me and mini-me on boat.

I presume mini-me is stood next to you rather than what you're looking at.

The father and his kids... I'm the one in grey shirt :) The others are my brother and sister.... :P
