I did remember that I have a picture of myself from a few years back.
It's not visible in this pic but I had long hair at that time.

And I'm keeping to the Southern Hemisphere theme, as both the girl in the gif and the picture from me are from South-Africa.

By the way, is that a Focus?

That's a Ford Ikon (named Fiësta Sedan in Brazil according to wikipedia)
Our previous rental car broke down (VW Citi Golf), but we insisted to get another manual as a replacement. Since automatics are the norm in SA, we got bumped up a rental class because they didn't have another manual in our class available

And what do you do with a rental car? Go up dirt roads it's not really designed for :P
That piece of road was actually in a very good condition. And now that I think of it, the picture was actually taken in Swaziland.

Well, we don't have that exactly version of the Fiesta sedan, but all the others, yes... i think that was a generation where they took different facelift styles.

But those cars are designed to go offroading, they are taller than european cars, exactly for that porpouse.

That must have been great. đź‘Ť

But is the pilot Roy 'Chubby' Brown?

Fortunately, no :sly: And it was fantastic. We did a few loops and rolls, but the only thing that really scared me was landing in a small grass air strip with forest on either side.

It's Boracay Island in the Philippines.

I was just going to ask if that was at Boracay! Fantastic place đź‘Ť

Anyways, this is me. All my pictures in the past 4 months or so have just been me surfing (thank you GoPro!)

Oh how I miss the Philippines... :'(

Now's not a good time to be there though, terrible rain right now. My girlfriend's car was underwater for a day, the water was at a higher levels than the wheels. Fortunately for me I have escaped the floods and being all upside down in Australia

Those GoPro cameras are really good huh?

Yeah I was terrified of losing it when on big wave days but I surf with it all the time and its still there. So far it's stood up to so much abuse from surfing and biking, the only thing it isnt is dog-proof. My dog enjoyed a good 15 minutes chewing it while I turned my back and he's left chew marks all over the case. The good thing is he hasn't penetrated through the protective case so its still not leaking!

I would still like to go there, especially in the monsoon season. I'd like to get my boat out and row down the streets.

Those things can withstand 250mph, so I wouldn't worry about it falling off your board. Even with water, that should aid in the suction cup to stick better. Plus the GoPro company know their stuff lol.

There is a video on youtube somewhere, where a go pro camera falls of a surf board, get dragged accross loads of rocks, lays at the sea bed for 9 months, miraculously it gets found and still works! I use one one for skiing, the quality of footage you can shoot is epic đź‘Ť

And me in the camper shortly after arriving home later that day.

I've got some of me in my tropical blues, but I need to get them from my mom's camera.
