2.1 kilo. That is a challenge. As long as I keep eating I can stuff myself pretty bad, and it has to be meat flushed down with beer. My family calls me the wheelie bin when ever we have some meat eating frenzy. I am always the last one to finish.

I once devoured a 3 person Chateauxbriand. Even the Chef came out to see what I was doing.

Edit.

This was diner for today, the 3 on the left are mine. The one on the right my girlfriends.

This thread needs more steak, here is me winning the 24oz steak challenge on our works christmas lunch. The other guy who tried it took 16oz home in a doggy bag so only managed 8oz

Ready, steady, go

Whoa where is that challenge because I could easily beat that. Several years ago I ate 2 (16oz) prime ribs in one sitting. I am guessing if you beat the challenge you get the steak for free? I wish we had that around here. I would never have to pay for a meal ever again.

^ nope definitely just medium and not bloody but its properly thick so it's all nicely pink.

I had a soup starter and chips and onion rings with it plus a couple of pints (and it was only lunch) but was only starting to feel full on the last few bites so could have put in an even more sterling effort if needed, good to know I've still got it ;) The challenge was just between the guys in work so the steak still had to be paid for as it's just another steak on the menu of fabulous steaks but the bar staff still had a laugh at my mate failing so miserably. Bit far for you as it's in Saddleworth, UK but for local peeps looking the the best steak for many miles around here it is http://www.theoldoriginal.co.uk/

All of the above apart from the food poisoning and lots and lots of man pride :sly:

Well then, they'd go out of business if I lived nearby. But, then again, it's English beef. Win a free steak, and a free prion disease.

Yup my mum does that all the time... Hence why if she makes steak I try to avoid it.. :grumpy:

I like my steaks cooked medium-rare or medium. Anything above medium should be against the law.

I guess she likes it *puts sunglasses down*...BIG (and American)

Yeah I went there... :P

Edit: Most stupid DP of the forever? I shouldn't have pushed so many buttons on my keyboard randomly haha...

Yeah I like my steaks nice and pink like that too. My favorite is prime rib but I also like Ribey. The steak you had looked perfect to me. Mmmm steak and pints. I am on my way!! 👍

I would love to have steak all the time but it is so expensive up here in Michigan. Lucky to find Ribey for less than $9.00 per pound. I eat more chicken since the price of beef went so high after the massive drought this year.

It's never done me any hram

Have you lost a bit of weight with the bike riding Neal.

Cheers Shaun.

Quite a bit, not far off 4st although Christmas may have put a dent in that.

I love lamp steak

Saddleworth? That's just over the moors from me! Will have to try it out one day. 👍 Perhaps I can have a taste of real steak then.

It's a great pub, well worth a drive even if it's a bit of a trek but would be rude not to for you. If you don't fancy being a pig then the 10oz fillet looked bloody amazing which I'll be trying next Friday.

I decided to search for pictures of myself from 2012... I found 5! Probably because every picture I do of myself I just go "Aww hell no!" *delete*

I'm the same way.

That thing was still mooing! Rare much?

That's actually about medium. If you want rare around here...well lets just say in my area you might as well not even cook it. The top is brown and you cut it and it's still bleeding pretty damn hard.

I suppose I'm just used to steak that's got the texture of old boots then.

Blegh my mom cooks em like that and they are chewy and ew. I like em pink and it gives it flavor.

Venison steaks are much better than any beef steak. Especially White Tail doe.

If you're going to Saddleworth, it's probably a good idea to stay off the moors.

Reputation and all.
