Speaking of, I took the opportunity today to practice looking like a serial killer.

Pretty darn good. I mean I had two months I could hardly walk, but that's past me now. Instead of that deadly golf game, I play on the boat.

Slight depression is starting to set in though as fall is looming close. The evenings are getting colder and you can smell winter in the air. Boating season is coming to a close. To help cope with that, I got a couple new video cards to keep me warm and snuggly through the hard winter that's coming.

I don't play golf anymore either. Especially since I slipped a disk in my back about 3 years ago.

I also have a very hard time dealing with depression in the winter. I just noticed a couple days ago the flowers are starting to die which is the first major reality check of fall. Plus something has been happening lately that might make it even more difficult this year. But I might discuss that at the end of the year in a different thread. Hoping to cope with it by gaming and maybe start working out again.

Overall its been a great summer 2013. Truly enjoyed the weather and got a lot of activities completed. Would love to have a boat someday so I can get out and truly enjoy the water like you have been doing.

^I hear ya! I will say the worst part of having the boat is not being able to use it. With the kids in school, late night rides are out. That leaves the weekend and you can only hope that the weather holds. Looking at the extended forecast, rain and thunder showers all day Saturday and Sunday this weekend so that's out. It's been such a nice summer and the first one that we really took full advantage of. Maybe Winter won't be so bad. Have to get the boat paid off so we can get some snowmobiles. I plan to do some serious gaming myself!

Having been doing my Mountain leader qualification for a few months, I needed to collect some more quality mountain days, somewhere other than Dartmoor So me and a friend spent five days in Snowdonia, which just happened to include doing the Welsh 3000's route, though sadly not in 24 hours as we had full packs on, 29 and a half including sleep instead. Thought I'd share a couple of pics anyway.
