Poor thing!

I wouldn't be able to kill any animal. I even catch insects, spiders alive and give them their freedom by putting them outside. And this has nothing to do with being soft or ..... whatever.

I have no need to prove anything by killing animals. (In many cases, they're better than humans.)

I'm not overly opinionated when it comes to hunting, but I'll say this: deer in the eastern US have a huge, huge overpopulation problem. To the extent that it's now a risk for humans, what with the fact that they spread ticks and wreak havoc on the roads. I'm all for a massive, massive cull of deer in northeastern America, because it's certainly needed.
 
Looks like someone is cooking up venison steaks. I've heard that the stuff is good. A-lot of my friends bragged about how they went deer hunting often. Missouri has a pretty decent deer population, I would see them running around as my bus went to school. I'm kind of surprised I've never hit any when out in the county.
 
I agree that there is a big overpopulation problem in the Eastern portion of the United States and Canada. But lets just sit back and look at the massive overpopulation issue of humans worldwide... I call for a purge of the human race! :lol: Deer overpopulation wouldn't be as big of an issue if we hadn't cut down thousands of acres of forest to build houses and crop fields. But that's my opinion, I'm sure no one cares, because we're humans, and we have no one trying to kill us off because of it. (I'm sure we will kill ourselves to near-extinction relatively soon, just wait until the next World War.)

Anyway, where are the photos of peoples I was expecting to see?

I have not had a venison steak, but I have had summer sausage made with venison and venison jerky. Both were very tasty.

How does it taste exactly? My grandfather was a MAJOR hunter, and my mom is always telling me about how much of it he'd have left. That and the fact that some of my friends are hunters is the reason why I'm curious.

You can't really describe it. It's much closer to beef than pork, but not quite the same. Depends on the animal as well. It can vary depending on what the animal ate. In fact a lot of people say it's like a much leaner beef.
