i think 1 hour earlier or 2 hours later is fine with GATE. But don't change the schedule if i'm the only one from GATE who want to race

Ok, this is bad news for me, I have been trying to join the room R1600Turbo hosted, it failed every time with this error :
"Entry was refused due to network incompatibility with the room host [768]"

I've been trying for half an hour, no dice . I had this issue with one of the GTP Free Run Club host from UK, I did the qualify with GTP_Litchy as host with no issues. Looks like I'm going to miss the race

I can see the member list ...but I can't join in, why ??? I'd just cleared the cache, tried to join shuffle room, it works fine. WTH.

^That's what I did for the past half hour, same issues, I had this exact problem with a host from GTP Free Run Club as well, same 768 error, still no fix. I can join other room just fine, just did some shuffle races. I had no issue when GTP_Litchy hosted my qualify race, weird ..

By the way, I am wired to my laptop which acts as internet connection sharing, never have issues when playing Battlefield, MK, MGO or other online game.

Edit : The error shows up every time when it says Joining Room and the bar below is started to filling about 10%.

Well, it worked for me, my PS3 could still download as fast as the ISP gives, I even play FPS online or download large files from PSN while my Laptop downloading files with P2P client, no lag, no speed issues thanks to some tweaks.

First of all, thanks to those who showed up and put forth the effort to qualify, etc.

Race ended up not being what I had hoped. Needed more cars, the 2 tire rule I think hurt the close racing, and we ended up shortening the race due to lack of entries. For me was pretty much a 16 lap time trial with a couple semi-nasty mistakes.

I think the more I play this game the more I think it just isn't enough for me anymore in the physics department. I have to power limit cars just to make them feel right in terms of sense of speed, run lower grade tires, etc. (except for the 458 needed RM tires)

Think I'm done racing online from now on. I can make cars fun offline, which often leads to ideas like this one. But a fun pace for me in a race ends up being a mid-pack finish anymore, and that's just not fun. 👎

Just a suggestion, try to race online with untuned 458 using CM tire, I often hosted practice room with CM tire limit, sure it will hurt the lap time, but with a good set of drivers, it would be close racing with no too much trade off in speed or excitement. But I highly doubt CM tire on 458 races would interest most GTP members

For all the demand from people for Ferrari's in GT5, it's a shame more people aren't interested in racing them (or unable to because of our wonderful GT5 online service).

No real surprises in the race. I only managed a 6-7 second gap with TA, which got chewed up in no time once I was in the hards. I kept 2nd, though, and I didn't have a major mistake.

Honestly, the most fun I have is when driving stock street cars and there's no real worry about when we have to qualify or about earning points. I provide an example below:

In there, I was against insane aliens and I got lucky if I even got a podium. However, it wasn't so much about where I finished but the great battles I had. Maybe something like that series is a better approach than this, especially with how the cars become more... weird, the faster they go.

Thanks for organizing the race, Turbo. I wish I could have helped improve the quality of the race, but I missed the chicane brake-point early and that pretty sealed it for me

I think my biggest takeaway from the race is that I'm too dependent on the driving line at suzuka. So no more driving line crutches for me!

It was great driving with all of you. I hope to meet you again on the track!
