on my side of the waiting for zii issue. i had no problem making sure he got in. he is an organizer and co founder of this series. we wouldn't be here to race without him. he deserves our patients from time to time, he has earned it.
This is the attitude of someone that appreciates how much work goes into organizing a league. There are open lobbies, full of idiots wanting to wreck you in every corner, that can be joined at any hour. PCars has glitches. Thankfully there's a PCars 2 coming in the future to address the issues. But for now, people need to be patient with what they've got. Cup half full folks.

There's always another option if you're not happy with the current situation.

Please understand that this is meant to be humorous; As well as illustrating how much everybody involved should appreciate how much work goes into this league. Sometimes waiting is part of it.

Race 2 results
Everyone please if you see something wrong let us know, as sometimes the game can be funny about displaying it.

Thanks Mopar.
I can also check when stream goes public.
Need to see if there is anyone that didn't finish that results don't show. Still get points if you don't finish, so if anyone reads this that is in that position let me know in case I miss you in the scoring.

I disconnected right after SGETI was DQ'ed in race 2.

good broadcasting Lessen. I am glad you like my livery:)
I wish i could get fast and hold off mopar but it just isn't to be the case right now:)

no hard feelings here. didn't think you were going to get then run on me and thought you were still behind me enough for me to go out there. should have checked my window, my fault and payed the price for it.

This,I couldn't agree more,@Zii1993 puts a lot of time and his own money into this series, the very least we could do is at least try to make sure he gets to race,or anyone else for that matter, all this bitching about being late doesn't make things any better,I do the best I can on race nights to make sure everyone that's there to race gets to

Just curious as the stream viewers can't here the in-game chat so well, what is the reason for having to make new rooms so often?

"As for restarts i will bring this up to the engineers for this series and get back to you guys. Personally unless its 2-3 drivers that get the boot at the start I'd say not to just cause of time."

The above was written by Zii.

I know you guys are all sappy about doing your friends right by waiting all night for them. But this was discussed awhile ago and it was decided the night and the league needed to tighten up and go by scheduled times...and we are live streaming. This is just out of respect of the other 14 guys in the room (and who knows how many live streamers)...some of which may need to work in the morning or have specific plans. We can't just plan for the next 3-4 hours to be set aside for racing. If you guys want this league to be serious and expand into divisions etc then you guys are going to have get out of the millennial frame of mind and start going by an actual schedule.

Zii (and I hope everyone else) will agree that he doesn't want everyone to have to wait around for 45mins just for him to have the possibility of racing and then, to top it off, he was never able to get in. I would not want everyone to wait for me. I have too much respect for all of you and the value of your time to expect you all to keep waiting on me. And I hope none of you expect everyone to wait on you. If you can't get to the cruise ship, plane flight, subway etc on time...then you miss it.

The best thing to do would be to call for a vote to see who wants to go and who wants to wait. If it's unanimous to wait then wait. If not, then start the race.

I remember the last time this happened some of you were in favor of shortening up the night (I went back and checked the thread) to make it go faster but now you are changing your mind?

I have no problem waiting a couple minutes but when it comes to restarting three or four times it gets ridiculous. Maybe have a "one restart" rule or something.

But if you guys want to be taken seriously and grow then it's going to have to tighten up. Look at SNAIL sunday nights...it's pretty strict...and for good reason. And it shows.

I like Zii and most of you, the reverse is probably not true, but the reality is the world operates on schedules and times...

So...there it is...I'm the a$$hole...again.

Because I care...

Ok, I think I have it all figured out for race 2.
It was getting confusing watching the youtube stream because of the restarts and the driver lists. Pillsbury suddenly appeared so he must have joined right at the very last restart. So watching the stream at the start, I saw SGETI go first, then Racer just before Hazard, so I will score in that order.
As of now that is what's going on the scoresheet, so just correct me if I'm wrong.

In no way does this make you an a$$. I have a different situation than most. I do not have work in the morning and am used to 4+ hour endurance stints rather than the sprints we run in this series. Just wanted to voice my opinion. Everyone has their own views and their own schedules. I don't expect the room to wait for me either. Just saying Zii and Alex(i know he's not racing now) deserve a little extra leeway. I like the vote for it idea.

Lessen giving me a little airtime :) I've got the slow and steady reputation apparently :). I just keep plugging away...

I do have one question. Is it possible to look at drivers tire wear on your screen to see who is saving tires? It might be interesting to see a battle and switch to tire wear screen to see if one has no tires and the other has newer tires. Damage as well.

Ive seen it in the stream where it pops up the tires and such but it doesn't show the wear level of each tire or temperatures for anything

@JoeW

Unfortunately it is not reliable info on that mode. Pills and I were looking at that on Monday during practice and we were seeing different compounds watching the same driver.

Not sure if you saw my post about figuring out the scoring for race 2. As you didn't call out Pills name in the start, was he by any chance commentating with you? I didn't have time to watch any more coverage other than the start. It is a bit of a pain figuring this all when I'm not there for the actual race, so sorry for all the questions but I want to get the scoring right.

First thing,we didn't restart 3 or 4 times waiting on somebody, some of it was lobby stability issues, second,I'm all for the vote if we can get everyone quiet enough to do it,I'm all for one restart rule, better for me,less people for me to finish behind

It was primarily due to the instability of certain peoples connection, not the lobby itself. The one time we were stuck on the loading screen, most of us loaded in just fine. But a few decided to restart the PS4 and forego waiting any longer. The two other room restarts were to get certain people in and failed.

Watching the youtube feed we have 40mins between the end of Race 1 and the beginning of Race 2. So three times.

Not a huge deal but each restart takes a good 10 mins to get people back in, loaded, liveries set, pit strat set, and thumbs up to skip the pit strat (if we are pressed for time enough to skip it).

I have to agree with Joe here. I had actually typed out something Thursday morning with repect to these situations, but decided to hold my tongue for a bit. The details of why don't really matter here, what is important is the 40 minute gap.

At the end of race 1, we had 12 live viewers. At the beginning of race 2 we had 8 and it stayed that way most of the second race. Granted, Pills was probably one of them, but still... We need to tighten it up. If we have a policy, we need to follow it. If we don't have a policy, we need to write one. This is one of those "put your friendship aside" kind of deals. It is what it is and I can guarantee both Zii and Alex understand that.

thanks for the good words guys but we can't play favorites even to directors. If I can't make it I can't make it. It's not fair to those who are on a schedule. Plus as everyone has said with the stream and keeping things moving. once we have more rooms we will need this to keep moving so there will be a rule added to the OP about restarts. I like the one restart cause there are some times where it may be needed.
