I have a playseat classic and I am planning on buying the g25, I see that there is a shifter add on available for the playseat evolution but not the classic, will this fit the classic if not does anyone have any ideas, i dont want to but a new seat but I will if I have to

I have had it for over 3 years , still good as new still love it you can sit in it for hours and its very comfortable

Your setup looks sweet :dopey: you have it cleanly assembled in a nice area
the G25 in your last photo is white, did you paint it to match
I'll check your other posts for other questions
also, are you using a hd projector with that screen
what size is the screen and how far away do you sit

01gtp: umm thats not a g25... note theres only 2 pedals

i don't understand how can you use your right foot for braking and gas with that bar in the middle (only applies when using g25 and clutch funciton as obviously u dont clutch and brake with your left foot.

Read the review guys:

Setup consists of 80" 1080p Panasonic Projector, viewed from 6FT seated within 7.1 speaker configuration

The other shot is from the seat review and X360 Wheel. :dopey:

I just got an email from one of the playseat dealers, he said the old shifter add ons would only work with the evolution model not the classic, but he said the new ones will work with both, I ordered one and I will let you know how it works out

Not too sure on those Playseats, the look too high up! I had one of the seats from gameracer.co.uk, which more or less sit on the floor, low down. I will be buying another one soon.

it is the perfect height, the bottom pad is removable , but with it removed its too low for me the steering wheel will actually block some of my view of the tv, I have seen the gameracer seats and they are very nice but they are also twice the price, I still say the playseat value is hard to beat

Anyone from America ordered the playseat? It seems ridiculously expensive to order/deliver from the UK.. ?

Any dealers in the Americas?

i did.. from amazon.com and i think they have a huge sale on it right now, for the playseats evo chair, i have it, love it and i had fast free delivery took less then 3 days for me :)
so go there and see if u can find one on sale still

Oh so the playseat is shipped from UK? Im in UK, what is the web address please?

(I'll try google now however)

EDIT:

Just checked the Europeon website, the seat is showing as £ 229,99 delivered. Is this anywhere to Europe? It doenst not even ask to specify the country or add any additional delivery charges? Who has bought one of these in the UK? £ 229,99 does not seem any cheaper than the GameRacer?

I see that many people have reviews on the playseat but i dont see exactly what im looking for......I may be overlooking it.

How does that center piece affect pedal activity on the G25.....

Do you have to left foot brake or is it comfortable to right foot brake?
Can you comfortably perform heel/toe action (it doesnt look like it)?

I'm about 6' 1", so which one has the most adjustability? The Obutto looks like a more adjustable chair....but if someone knows I would appreciate it!

I'd really like to know as well.

I just got the gearshift holder for the g25 for my playseat classic and it dont fit, the plate is too short, it does look like I can make it work I wiil just have to weld the plate on instead of bolting it on, so if you plan to use the g25 make sure you get the evolution model

hey man. i have the EVO chair, and its really comfortable. and my brother is over 200 LBS and might be around 6'2 so it easly adjusts to your height. and i like the chair the most out of the other ones since you are able to sit low and in a sports car like sitting position... its rally comfortable and sets up to your height wiht no problem :)

but to anwser your questions. there are 2 ways you can set up your G25 pedals there are 2 ways. and tell u the truth only one way is really comftable.. the other setup is way off..
and yes you can break with your right foot. clutch on the left foot.u can move your left leg to hit the break too, but im around 5'11 and it feel perfect to me.. and heel and toe its really easy and comfortable and nothing in the way... ill take some pics.. to let u see for your self.

ok so these are the pics with foot work .. just to show its comftable to use both feet on the brake. and as well to use your right foot on brake and gas at the same time.. nothing gets in my way and my knees ore any other leg part touches any of the frame...

Just a word of warning here... you're going to wear the socks out in no time. I've gone through two pairs of "racing socks" in less than six months, the edges of the metal pedals beat the socks comfortably when it comes to durability. :P

haha well the socks cost me about 6 bucks for 3 pairs. so its cheaper to replace then the pedals :dopey:

I use socks or just barefeet, I can't stand using shoes on the pedals, much more feel without them.

that is my main reason too. when i had shoes i pushed in 2 paddles at same time.. no feel at all well because i use boots , i dont have sneakers :)

I contacted the company who sold me the gearshift holder to let them know that it did not fit the classic, They emailed me and told me I was sent the wrong one, they are sending me another one and they claim it will work for both models, one again I will let you guys know how it goes

I duct tape one of my hands to the steering wheel, carry a plastic cup full of water in the drink holder and try not to spill it.
