rabbitude,

I have the Classic and just ordered the mount. The title on their website states it's for the Evolution but the description states it's for both the Evolution and Classic. Fomr looking at the photo it looks like it bolts on between the seat and base. Mine should arrive this week and I will post my results.

Okay I received the gearshift mount yesterday and installed it...somewhat. The box states Evolution but it will fit the classic with a little modification.

The mounting bracket fits under the seat and uses the right front bolt that attaches the seat to the base. There is a hole towards the bottom of the bracket that is designed to be used with a cross support on the Evolution. The Classic is lower. So I will have to drill a hole to fit a screw and nut which I have in the garage. Even though it will mount without it the second screw will strenghten it. The rest of the mount fits perfect. You will have to remove the part of the G25 shifter which hold the tightening screw - the one that secures it to the desk. It requires removing 4 tiny screws. Once that is removed the gearshift mounts with two enclosed screws. So there is no worry of it coming loose. Once installed it is adjustable as far as moving it forward or outward (away from your leg). The height is even with your leg while sitting.

I hope this helps.

how did you mount your pedals on your playseat classic, on mine the pedal set is too long for the plate and wont sit flush, i was planning on cutting a notch out of the bottom of the pedal set but I am open to better sugestions

I have the classic and the same issue. For now I attached two pieces of velco that came with the chair to attach the pedals to the foot platform. I attached it at the top (of course). I'm not sure either on how to mount it. Eventually it will damage the part of the pedals that is resting on the frame. I was thinking of a piece of wood like a piece of shelf or something but not sure if that will work. Something to extend the length of the platform would be perfect.

i've read through this and done a lot of searching but cant find out if the classic will be any good for the g25, does the gearstick mount fit and work properly with a classic seat and can you right foot brake etc?

Lakebone, you showoff!
More pics from different angles would have been nice :)

Ever since I saw the playseat and G25 combo, I do not even want to turn on my PS2. And GT4 is all I play.
I am hoping and waiting for the playseat evo prices to drop :nervous:

I got mine or $75 NIB off craigslist :) All I had to do was drive up to Tacoma :D
My Playseat Evo as the gearshift holder and it works great, got it from videogamecentral and their shipping was INCREDIBLY FAST, here are the pics of my setup: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=87508&page=8 (mine is at the bottom of the page with the white seat)

so as u can see, all comfy setup :)

and yes i race in my socks , i dont wanna wear and tare my pedals that quickly :)

i didn't put my pedals like that i moved mine over to the right so i could use my right foot to brake. it works much better that way. by looking at the bottom picture though it would be to the left on the picture.
