Please help to simulate my real car

In real life, i race a Holden Torana GTR XU-1 Historic Touring Car, you can check us out at www.historictouringcars.com.au

I know that the Holden Torana doesn't appear in any games, but I'd love to build someting in GT4 that has similar specs and performance, never mind the looks.

Being fairly new to the game, i'm not entirely familiar with all of the cars available. That's where you guys come in. :) I'll post the specs of my real car below and invite you guys to suggest cars in GT4 (PAL) that are similar.

Thanks in advance. :)

1972 model 2 door sedan, FR, 3.3 litre I6 engine, NA, 4.4m long x 1.5m wide, 1115kg, 270hp.

Great idea but I don't think there is anything even close. Best two for me are the Isuzu 117 Coupe and Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R (KPGC10) - of those two I would take the Isuzu due to the GMH connection - its only a 4 pot but the weight and dimmensions are close, its a coupe, if you use your imagination really hard there is a slight resemblence. The Bellett 1600 is too light. There is very little in the way of straight sixes and I doubt any car in GT4 uses triple carbies.

Good luck with the project

I just learned about the 1970 Honda 1300 coupe S9 after I raced it in the 1000 miles events. This car actually has 4 CARBS...one for each cylinder! Go read about it on Wikipedia if you don't believe. it was Honda's way of trying to introduce the concept of fuel-injection in a roundabout way.

Uh sorry can't help you yet Torana. You'll figure it out.

It's amazing what there is to learn about early Japanese cars. All my life I've known about famous Americans: the Hemi, the Boss Mustang, Shelbys, as well as many European makes and their inventions. Few of us know about early Japanese automaking...when you start learning about it you realize that the late-60s and 70s was a time in which they were trying all sorts of new things with small engines, laying the groundwork for the global domination we see today. 👍

Thanks for the suggestion Molluch, I have tried the 1970 Skyline GT-R and I've been able to get the weight and power just right. The performance seems right, but i havent quite got the handling to match it yet, will keep working on it.

Well besides the "sedan" part you could try the Toyota 2000GT. All the other aspects are pretty much equal to your torana, but it uses a smaller displacement inline 6, only 2 liters, but it can be tuned NA to the 270hp mark. Or maybe try one of the original Nissan Z's.
