PmC - Week 170 - Closed

^^Thanks

The thing is, Saturation changes in Photoshop, or any other image edition program, is against the rules. Problem is, it is impossible to tell which one are Black & White from GT4 and which one are Black & White from Photoshop. I have a hint of the differences, but I can really put my finger on, so, I have to let this rule slide for this week, and/or hope for people to follow it.

I know that you desaturated, but it isn’t fair to disqualify you, because there are a bunch, or maybe all, entries are B&W from Photoshop, so I would had to disqualify a bunch of them. Also, it is almost the same thing.

@nicknamealguem

yes, i desaturated it, thats true... thought the pic just has to be b&w... shame on me... :(

PS: could u or someone please do me a favor and describe how to post a clickable preview?? i used the tutorial but i´m way too stupid... i guess...

You can normally tell as the GT4 photos are slightly yellow in colour. If you're in doubt, take it into Photoshop and desaturate it there to see if it makes any difference. It would be unfair to disqualify anyone for doing it though, it makes very little difference.

Thanks Moglet, and your right, GT4 B&W have some colour on them (yellowish colour) while, B&W from Photoshop, have nothing.
Quickly going to photoshop and saturating to the max will bring some colour in GT4 B&W pictures and no change in B&W Photoshop picture.

So, is it DQ time, or should I pretend like nothing has append :D.

Edit: And what would I do with people who put the image mode to Grayscale? There is a bunch of them, and there is no rules covering it…

Save your picture in two different sizes. First the size of your desire and name it what you want. Then another with a maximum of 400px in the widest side and save it with the same plus, adding prev (preview), for you to tell the difference).

Then open Photobucket and upload the two images. Make sure you have the maximum 1mb option, or it will resize your image.
Then when submitting it in a competition or in gtp, inside the IMG codes put the direct link of the preview (it says in the bottom of the image, what are the different links, and there is one that says direct link), and inside URL codes, put the direct link of the full size image.
And you’re done.

Basically this:

Code:
[UR|_="FULL SIZE IMAGE HERE"][IMG]PREVIEW SIZE IMAGE HERE][/IMG][/URL]

Obviously replace the |_ with an L. I had to use |_ because the code tags still turn it into a URL when wrapped :ouch:

many many thanks for the support guys 👍
i´ll give it a try...

yes it worked,... i´m so happy :D

For something like this, I believe that it is fair to allow complete desaturation. I actually think that saturation should be allowed, just as in the Drift competition.

I just had a phonecall from space, they said that they like your photo but would like you to read the rules in the first post too. 👍

Skyline49
I'd like to see a full size version of that. It looks interesting.

FINAL ENTRY

black and white straight from the game. 👍
vr6gti72! Nice to see you again. it has been awhile!

FINAL ENTRY

Damn, speedemon08, your entry's absolutely great!

Well, apart from the fact that the "floor" is an absolute mess, not even completed by the fact there are some parts of the GRAN TURISMO 4 / @SCEI watermark still visible, and I needed a few seconds for orientation on the perspective... I guess you can call it an "absolutely great" entry.

Not trying to criticize you, Nenad, but sometimes it tickles me off when people say compliments just to say something.

Ok, sorry if I sounded a bit harsh.

I think I may be getting an entry for this one. The big trio of Unedited competitions (PmC, Drift, and Un-edited) are the ones I should enter weekly, at least to keep my "skills" polished
