Points are based on the average of the Driver Rating of the lobby. It's very roughly 5% of the average DR split across the entire lobby, with 10% of that going to the winner and 5% less for each position thereafter.

It's likely that you are a D- or C-rated driver, racing in GT3 League, and the lobby's average DR was around 1,000pt.

Thank you for the insite. I got more points finishing 5 and 7th in the first two races in the same lobby does the track play a part in the points?

No, it's just the Driver Rating of the participants.

You won't have raced in the same lobby, aside from a freak occurrence where only the exact same 16 drivers were available for three successive races. A lobby is the specific instance of a finalised race event after matchmaking.

Yep, in essence GT3 League will feature DR C and DR D drivers most commonly, but after a few races it could start to include some DR B drivers too - because once assigned to a League you remain in it even if your DR increases (or falls, for higher Leagues) beyond the initial conditions.

However DR C could be up to 9,999pt, so some races you might face drivers with ten times the points of mid-DR D drivers. A lobby consisting of max-rating DR C drivers would be worth 100pt for victory, while one composed entirely of mid-DR D drivers would be worth 10pt.

You will commonly face drivers at or around the same DR as you, but there could be some outliers. DR D itself goes up to 4,999pt.

What famine says, I’ve done GT1 level as a B driver and GT2 usually as an A driver it’s just the timing when it’s announced and starts vs what your current level is.

That said all of my GT2 races so far this season are A/S lobbies…..the sandbagging can be strong!

Minor addition to the topic of points scheme: avg DR divided by 200 for the winner is correct.

Every other finisher gets 1/24 ≈ 4.17% less than the one above. I guess they designed the scheme for a maximum number of 24 racers.
