Already have the event legendaries I like (except Volcanion), already got Shaymin way back in Platinum so no.

Unless I'm missing something, Salandit cannot be burned or poisoned. I can see people using this to shut down stallers maybe.

So? Each event has special moves and sometimes abilities that previous even pokemon didn't have. For example Mewtwo event from the Genesect movie isn't like the one from the 20th anni, or the summer split tournament that just happened. In fact all three are different and have different stats. Why wouldn't you collect something free?

I've already raised my Shaymin a fair bit and enjoy using it, I'm not going to get another one unless it will serve a completely different purpose to my other Shaymin (like my 2 Greninja's (1 for Triple Battles and the other is my Starter)). I'd feel awful for getting another one on my current Shaymin, this is why I don't Breed in most cases.

Also, I have long memories of my older Pokemon that I can't just throw away, I feel much more happy battling and raising a Pokemon I caught in Gen III then I would with a Pokemon I just got from an egg this generation.

I can't do that, I'd rather go the hard route and improve on my Pokemon that I caught ages ago and try my best to make them adapt to the current situations.

I got to thank Super Training Reset Bags and Mega Evolutions for that too, my Liam jr. (Salamence) from Platinum can now kick so much 🤬 despite a lack of an ability to know Dragon Dance (I use Facade instead).

I honestly like them, however the Pikachu one is a bit disturbing, probably isn't the case but it looks like it's wearing a Pikachu's dead skin...

Yeah, that ghost Pikachu is real creepy, but I'm still cool with it. I'm really liking most of the new designs so far. This generation is looking like it's going to be the most consistently good, design wise, in a while.
