The Lifan 320 is still a bit too big. It actually has elbow room. The Maruti Alto is where you want to start. And if you've driven either car, you'd much rather go for the much smaller Maruti... I know I do.

I just noticed the title change. The Cruze is a terrible car to stick in there. It's a porker. 1.3 tons, exterior size and interior space to match a midsized car of ten years ago. The only thing small about the Cruze is the trunk. Big on the outside, shallow on the inside.

The lifan 320 is a perfect clown car. Just look at the interior.

Actually maruti is a good example. No one wants one in real life, it's not like there are posters of those even though they do their job flawlessly and for a very small price, but they are common.
With that said I don't think anyone will say "Yes. I know PD has limited resources so if I pick a Maruti that means not getting a premium Veyron, and I'm happy with that decision".

Drove one last week. Surprisingly better than the one I drove last year. At least this year, the master brake cylinder didn't lose all hydraulic pressure right inside the parking lot.

A Maruti Alto sounds like a V12 at full chat. Well... with 1/4th the cylinders and 1/4th the volume.

On small kart tracks and tight tracks like Citta d'Aria, such buzzboxes can be fabulous fun. But PD would have to get the experiential part right... the clanking, growling, howling sound of a tiny car going over 60 mph is almost as endearing as the same sounds in a race car going twice as fast.

Did anyone else besides me notice that the Lifan's center console looks like it's happy?

 Yes now you mention it, it even has a red nose and dimples in its cheeks, this could only have been done deliberately (discounting the placement of the gearstick ofcourse).

Definitely. There's a certain element of joy I get from driving slow cars at the limit that I don't get from driving fast cars at the limit. That's not to say fast cars aren't fun, but slow cars are fun because you aren't really supposed to drive everyday cars super-fast around a track. Plus, it's nice to see your own car or your dad's car or whatever in the game, because it adds a slightly more personal element to the races.

The thread is not about fun somewhat slow little cars, for example a suzuki cappuccino, but awful cars in general you simply wouldn't want to own in real life. "Cruze" is misleading, lifan 320 is better. Cheap undesirable econo-cars instead of tuned kei cars.

My point in this thread is resources are finite so PD modelling the lifan 320 means not modelling the Veyron for example, and no one wants that.

I wouldn't want them to miss any super important cars for a useless one, but they can't just focus on supercars. They need some of everything. I would rather have a large, well balanced car list drawing from all cultures and places than for them to include every last supercar in the world.

The way forza 4 did it was great. You had plenty of supercars, but you also had muscle cars, tuners, regular cars, historically important cars, some famous TV or movie cars. FM4 has a fantastic car list. That needs to be PD's target. If GT6 could even come close to FM4's list I would be absolutely ecstatic.

there is one econo car that shouldn't make it back in is the GT by Citroen concept it is electric and fast but thats not what econo cars are about being fast dose not make it better. the first time a drove one I almost ran off every turn because I couldn't tell what gear to slow down into because it is just drive econo cars are supposed to be slow so you don't hurt yourself one econo car that should be in GT6 is the smart car it is the epitome of econo cars.

It's not exactly an econo-car now is it? It's an electric supercar requiring a completely different driving technique than for example its petrol-engined sibling (the road version).
You indeed can't tell which gear you're in because it doesn't have gears, and if you think the issue is that it isn't supposed to be fast because it's electric, then that isn't the car's fault but your presumption of what it's supposed to be, which it isn't.
I too had difficulties driving it though, until I adjusted my driving style accordingly, having said that, I much prefer the petrol-version.

I think they should stay, one of my main reasons for buying GT games is because I'm not stuck driving only sports and supercars. The most fun I usually have playing GT5 is normally when a friend of mine hosts a lobby restricted to lower powered cars. We end up having tighter races, and to me it's more fun because we find ourselves battling for position more than when we use sports cars. Everyone that voted no should be a little more open minded and at least try a few races with some friends. For me it's a nice change of pace, and I like being able to drive cars that would not usually be seen in a racing game.

Yes crap cars, ordinary cars, slow cars, ugly cars, small cars, heavy cars, etc. (basically every car you (could) find on the road should be in GT. I personally don't care for race cars tbh.
So bring on those so called econo-cars LOL.
Greeetings stano666 :)

Most econo cars are dull and boring to drive, except the Cappucino RM. And ugly too! Look at the Daihatsu Move for example - a friggin brick on wheels. I have driven a Toyota Yaris (or Vitz - company car) in real life and it was like sitting on a toilet straining to back out a grogan of epic proportions! ie. Not comfortable! Sure, some of these cars are "zippy" but, on the whole, are a waste of time. There is a severe lack of power to most of them too!
As far as GT5 goes, they take up room and are possibly responsible for the server issues!
While I'm on the subject of room, what's with all these Skylines? I'd like to see Australian cars (Holden, Ford and Chrysler) replace the econo cars!
Kazanori Yamauchi and the PD team have done a wonrful job with the GT series but, though Yamauchi-san said that he'd like to drive his own car in the game, he gets to drive cars that 99.99% of us gamers would not even get the opportunity to see or even sit in, let alone drive!!

Also agree!
