I have joined a couple of times, once as a small group to try and recruit people...to no avail.
I found the rooms very laggy and bug prone.

I tried shortly after release and the game crashed both times. I haven't tried again since. I guess that still goes to "Yet to try it" on the poll.

Having been forced into a similiar thing in Forza; called car meets (I think) which the game dumped you into when reloading. I now avoid any form of 'socialising with random people' in skill based games.
Can't join a league due to irregular work hours and don't trust randoms to be able to get through turn one...

I would, if they were not even worse than the normal lobbies. Meaning the lags. It's like the sony servers have the meeting places not on the highhest priority running.

And thats a shame, because even harmless meetings on the course end besides it, because everybody is jumping around.

I tried it the other day to do my daily workout at the Nord.

It was alright but felt laggy. People were there with the new Toyota LMH and I got to race around with them.

I'd vote but there isn't an answer that fits, as like a lot of players that do use the "meeting places", I use them at random, normally to test drive a new car or setup. That could be daily for awhile, could be once every few weeks, could be once a month.

I clicked on the button once. I didn't bother joining.

With no constraints on what's going to happen there, it's just a place to hang out, I suppose. Seems to me that even a hang out needs some kind of direction. Like "450pp" or "500pp Sports Tires" or the classic "JDM"

Maybe PD will get it 10 years from now, just like they added "safety cars" for the Police Lobbies, which they then killed with the N class fiasco of GTS. I haven't seen a Police Lobby in GT7 yet...are they still a thing? Maybe PD should nto wait 10 years to implement features that the community is obviously asking for (cough...engine swaps...cough)

With Sport or GT5, can't remember which, there would be lobbies for people to just hang out and cruise. Show off their cars. It was a novel idea but it wore off really quick. Mostly because people would show up and crash into everyone's cars and ruin the atmosphere.

They should have created a downtown core or beach front strip that we could freely drive on and cruise or park up and watch the people come and go with their custom builds. Would have been entertaining.

Anyway, it never got the design and attention that I thought it would need so I never bothered going back.
