Which steering wheel do you use?

DFGT for me. I only upgraded from a controller a couple of days ago, so I suck even more now than I did before :D It's infinitely more fun, though.

I use a DFGT, but also have a G25 collecting dust in the cupboard.......

May I ask why? Is there something better with the DFGT that you liked?

I'm currently using a G25 and are considering getting a DFGT to try.

It's just occurred to me how great the TT will be for PD in determining the needs of their audience, they are surely collecting data on how many people have what wheels and how much cumulative time is spent driving the demo per wheel.

After 10 years of dualshock, G25 since 2008 👍

I absolutely love that wheel. I just pray mine doesn't break, since i got it in a trip to the U.S and a new one costs up to 900 dollars where i live.

Personal preference i guess:crazy:...... I found the G25 very very notchy and rough with the FFB, even on the lower settings (2 and 3). I used it for nearly 7 months, bought the DFGT September or so last year and found roughly 0.100-0.150 on every single car/track i TT'd on in GT5P within the first 3 days of owning it.

It's a very well made wheel for the $$$, the pedal box requires a lighter touch as it has next to no resistance unlike the G25, but it's well suited to my style.

The big winner for me was the FFB feel with the DFGT..... I find it to be smooth, provides nice resistance on the higher settings without wanting to tear your arms off, which is how the G25 felt to me.

My G25 packed up 5 days before the GT5 event started so I had to get the DFGT and oh my word it's such a piece of rubbish in comparison.

The wheel has a huge forcefeedback 'deadzone' and those dreaded pedals are terrible.

Boggles my brain as to why Logitech didn't package the DFGT with the G25 pedals. Even if it was just a throttle and brake pedal mod.

Driving force GT as of today.
And this thing is so much harder to do consistent times, than my DFEX was.

Already improved by 0.1s in the tuned and 0.2s in normal from my dfex times.

But seriously now that I'm using a 900 degree wheel, GT5 TT seams even more unrealistic. The amount of steering you need to do to get around the tight corners is rubish. When I do similar corners on the track in my MX-5 I steer heaps less. Also when I get it sideways in real life, the wheel doesn't rip my thumbs off.

They really got some work to do to get the amount of steering angle needed right.

I barely turn in this Demo... are you sure you are not turning past the scrub radius?

When I used to race Formula VW I sprained both of my thumbs so it's not unrealistic based on my experiences.

I voted other because I currently use a controller. However I may purchase a DFGT at the end of next week. $65 shipped off of eBay isn't bad at all.
What was the point of that? You vote "other" to indicate a pad, despite the poll being specifically about the steering wheel you use. Then, you say you may purchase a DFGT off eBay at the end of next week. Why didn't you just vote for the DFGT instead then? It would have been just as statistically meaningless, but at least it would be backed up by your intentions, and if you do buy the wheel, the vote would stand true.

:scared:

I voted for the DFP. I had it since I bought my PS2 with GT4. I love it and have been very consistant with it. I have to keep FFB on 1 because any higher and about 5 laps I need new arms!

I am considering a G25 / G27 too as using my DFP with iRacing I get no FFB at all!

What amazes me even more is that you took the time to complain about nothing.

Yep not going past the scrub.

Its mainly for that last S bend I'm talking about. Way to much steering angle needed to get around comapred to real life.

And as for the thumb thing, I would agree in a race car the wheel may try to pull your arms off, but in a road car with power steering like a 370z, it should not.

I have used both the DFGT and G25 I started out with the GT and got stuck with my lap times. Switched over to my G25 and have improve so far.

Has anyone moved from a Driving Force Pro to a G25/G27?

How did you find it? Was it worth it? I'm lucky in that money isn't really a problem for me, but I don't want to waste it on a G27 if a G25 is just as good...

DFGT for me, but my wheels feedback is shot to pieces, its too soft, and it does on me even further mid session, oh well

G25 here, will try the DFGT too soon :) Eager to see if there is noticeable diff in the feedback.. I always loved the DFP feedback more than current with the G25.

Driving Force Wireless. Bought it for $20 on the same day that NFS Shift came out (which is a very good deal for me).

I would splurge on one of the premium wheels sooner but I have higher priorities at the moment than a $300 steering wheel for video games. (And I'm 5 seconds off the #1 times anyway.) :\
