Atleast the question creates conversation.. 👍 That is my main goal most of the time.

Whats your goal by defending GTS hardly?

PS: I voted yes, so, please, dont argue with me by saying that GTS is the best or something like that. Im asking for a more personal reason.

And then those millions of people were disappointed when they realised that the McLaren P1 in PCars was undriveable with a Dualshock 4 without tens of hours of stupid controller deadzone tinkering!

With respect that's exaggerated although I'm sorry you were disappointed. I drove the car in a race in Project Cars 1 the other day using a DS4. It was brilliant to drive. For me, my controller setup works for all of the cars in game. I much prefer the DS4 experience in Dirt Rally, Project Cars and Assetto Corsa to Gran Turismo because it bares more relation to driving a car and where grip is. That's down to tyre model and the rest of the physics model.

On a wheel too (mines a T300) they (and also pretty much any PC based sim in the last 15 years still knock the spots off Gran Turismo. PD still need to raise their game hugely. They fell behind so much that the improvements we're seeing now are still a long way behind.

I'll probably buy the game and use it for photo mode but as it stands with the full release of Project Cars 2 probably not long after GT even Photomode in GT probably won't hold me for long. I've used both GT Sport beta and Project Cars 2 current test build. Maybe the PSVR will grab me.

They do well on graphics. However, again I prefer the tailorability of options for my virtual cockpit in Project Cars and Assetto Corsa and on PSVR with Dirt Rally.

I want GT to compete. They're not there yet.

I'm not disappointed about Project CARS, at least not anymore. I finally found a setup that works for me a while ago, but my gripe is that it shouldn't have to be that way.

If I didn't find that custom controller setting, I wouldn't have bought all the DLC packs or started writing reviews for cars in that game.

How does that comment defend GTS? :odd:

Made some comments yesterday in the "What don't you like" thread. After driving 1.05, I will say that the DRIVING has improved immensely. Everything else I said pretty much stands, except SR is now worse. After being punted in all three Dragon event, I lost SR. I admit I quit the third race after being shoved wide in the final hairpin. FT.

Still a no. Physics still need work. Still improvements needed all around.

Definitely a step in the right direction though.

Must say im not a huge fan of the ffb either (G29), but its just down to not having the same level of setups for ffb as AC of Pcars. Hoping that will improve in the final build. Might also be a big reason for some of the criticism over the physics. Then again, ffb is always a matter of taste.

Also an easy fix by fine tuning the vibration. Usually pd gets that right. Not all hope lost there.
I'm using a G29 i find with ffb settings on 2 works better after update although have only tested the Scooby. IMO the physics still needs more tweaking i'm still not gettting the right feel.

Ffb is hugely improved in g29 after 1.05. For me sensitivity at 4 is the sweetspot for grip/weight changes and curbs clime/descent

Well, I've decided to state my answer, and I truly hate to say this. I don't think I can buy it. I know Gran Turismo 3 is 16 years old, but that's the GT I know and love. That's the GT I want. I'm sorry, I just can't bring myself to preorder a game with a large portion of it being online. I've played Assetto Corsa. It's great. I've played Project Cars. It's fantastic, sometimes. I've played Driveclub. I love it. But they all lack that signature GT feel, if you know what I mean. I feel like GT Sport lacks that too, to be honest, sadly. Yes, it looks and sounds truly amazing for the GT franchise, but maybe this one just isn't for me. We've got a few months to go before release, I'm guessing. I've got time to think. I really want to have GT on PS4 though. I'm stubborn...

This!
Well, I haven't been outspoken here for a while, my driving mojo disappeared with GT5. :(
(Before that even....)
First up, NO, I didn't get to try the BETA, had the invite, decided not to bother....
So what I state as my opinion is NOT based on true "race facts", only the numerous videos I HAVE watched and all the commentary I have read on here.
In all honesty I do not see me purchasing this rendition of GT, namely GTSport. :(
The most obvious reason being the lack of "offline" mode.
From what has been talked of and what has been let out by PD, license tests do NOT make an offline part of the game complete.
There are still many smaller countries and provinces who do not have great internet, if they have it at all.
Leaving these people out is the biggest game killer a franchise can do.
Sorry, that's it. 👎

I've been looking at pre-order options and after playing around in the beta initially I was looking at the mad £100 version.

However I've since cooled on the game, but I still think it will be worth picking up and playing. I think 1.05 while mostly making the game seemingly play worse is a positive. They have shown that they are willing to make reasonably significant changes to the handling and physics at this relativity late stage. Making errors in changes now is fine it allows them to iron out issues and try things they perhaps couldn't do with a finished live game. I remain optimistic and hopeful that the team will get it right given how much I enjoyed GT6.

A definite no from me. It is a poor experience with disappointing sound, not any significant improvement in track textures and in general a polished new version. There is no radical change whatsoever. Project cars has brilliant weather effects, GT doesn't even come close. I will buy it probably after a couple of years when its price drops to 20 euros. Kazunori seems to live in his own fairy tale and I'm not willing to buy his b***it about driving lifestyle and fancy photo mode again. Nor will I let him exploit my love for the series throughout the years and just buy it "because its Gran Turismo". Someone has to teach him a lesson, if he ever listens to consumers. My money has already gone to Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, Dirt Rally and I will definitely buy PC2 and F1 2017 when they come out.

I was referring to the horrendous weather effects of GT6, of course he didn't bother to do anything about different weather effects in GT Sport. I don't see anything in the game that makes me say: "I would love to give it a go". As for the GTexit, it is quite accurate indeed! ;)

What do you think it's needs to be like or what would change your mind . As for me I'm still undecided

What really bothers me is I can't figure out what PD want's the game to be, by description it would seem to be a full effort attempt at an e-sport based sim-racer. With that I want as close to the best if not the best physics currently available, that's not the case. I'm not car savvy enough to say what is wrong with it but I can feel it from all the games I have played and my personal car is in one of the currently available games and it feels right. I want that feeling connected to the car and road feel and I don't have it with GTS, PD should be there and their not.

I want GTS to treats curbs, walls and grass as boundaries not mere visual obstacles.

I want a DR/SR system that has some kind of clue as to who is a fault in an accident, that treats the driver that rams someone off the track harsher than the driver who is left spinning into a wall.

I want a BOP that works, has PD not learned from the Suzuki GSX-R from GT5/6.

I want more than pretty replays.

I want GTSport to be great, I really do, I just don't see it yet.

I haven't changed my mind.

Still a no for me. I have a PS4, but I can't play it online because that's where the "core" gameplay is. Since being data capped, which I cannot fix at all in my region. That'll cause major problems if I were to get it.

Some people wanted Polyphony to focus on a lot of offline play as well as online, but as it stands for me, Gran Turismo lost what it was doing originally. Not that it's a bad thing, but it would be cool for them to make further improvements to their original formula that made them famous in the first place.

That's my stance on it. Basically, GT changed its course of action.

Thank you I've been playing it at lot and the feeling I'm getting is after the update is the physics and force feedback are improved but not enough to be a full sim I agree.
