The polyphony digital cup is indeed for untuned cars(XJ220 walks it). l'm refering to the Polyphony 001/002 single seater open wheeled race cars that are needed for the final set of races in GT3 professional league. :banghead:

I dont think so,.... hop in your R390 👍 BTW,.... the cars your refering to CAN be won at the Polyphony Digital Cup ;)

Was there a question there, or just a statement? I'm really unsure of what's going on.

The PD Cup is an untuned event. There are actually a few supercars that can do quite well there. I believe a there are a large group of people who use the TVR Speed 12 or the Viper, possibly the Corvette or the R390. I think I used a GT-One Road Car, though I don't know if that's correct.

The PD 001 and 002 are Formula 1 race cars.

The Speed 12 eats the PD cup. I started from last in each race (too lazy to qualify) and won every race by close to a lap.

The Zonda C12S is another interesting one to try.

From what I can see, P001 and 002 are very similar. I haven't looked too closely but I think the kerb weights & dimensions are just about the same. HP is the same too, but they have different engines. 001 is a V10 naturally aspirated and 002 is a turbo V6. With an oil change as soon as you get them, they're both good for about 830HP.

As for settings, I leave everything as it is and just increase camber by 1 degree front and back, and set the damper rebound to 10. Oh, and the TCS and VSC can go to 0.
In this setting, I can take corners at least 30 - 50 kph faster than cars like the GT-0ne or R390 race cars. Max speed at this setting, about 365kph. The things turn on a dot! Braking is phenomenal too. It also slipstreams like a king!

BTW: As far as I'm aware, you only get P001 from the PD cup. P002 is won through the Formula GT championship.

Just a newbie question, what would the actual term 'untuned' mean?

Does it mean cars that have been tuned in anyway? (Including tires?) Or are they cars that YOU personally have not added anything to?

Hi Polarbear

What "Untuned" in this context means is that the car has no modifications performed to it by the player (other than tyres from the Tune Shop or oil change) and, for the PD Cup in particular, there are also restrictions as to which cars can enter the series (AFAIK it seems largely to hindge on whether the car has adjustable Downforce or not).

I like to use my stock NSX TYpe s zero....its funny as it is worse than the others cpu cars so i have to drive more fast to keep in the pace =D .
