1) Camaro.
It looks better than the '98, but it's a close contest for the '99 model. Still, the Cobras don't take off as well as I'd like them too, and the Camaro has better roadholding under pressure (a little looseness is fine). Camaro sounds bad (GM, duh), but it wins the race.
2) WRX.
I like the WRXs better in virtually every way, save dirt-drifting. They're inert, and tend to get sideways just fine but forget how to go forward again. The Lancer doesn't do well on asphault, it understeers, and looks more like a fanboy's car than the WRX does. Oh yeah, Evo GSRs have massive torque-steer.
3) RX-7.
I don't care what you say you've trained your Supra to do, the RX-7 just flat out does it better. It handles better, it sounds better, it looks better, it's faster through corners, and it's cheaper. Supra's got nothing on it.
4) CTR2.
Is this even fair? The Skyline looks almost as good as the RUF, but it's been in an F&F movie, so it automatically loses points. It doesn't handle all that well, but neither does the RUF until you tune them both. Pretty even in that regard. The RUF kicks the R34's ass in sound. Goes faster overall, simple.
5) Viper, Viper, duh.
Nothing against Corvettes, but they're running on stone-age LS1s with outrageously annoying noises coming from everywhere. The top speed on the '67-'82 Vettes is terrible, and if you've equipped the racing transmission, they take forever to pull past 4000rpm in 4th gear. Vipers, while they have their share of traction and oversteer issues, look a full eight-trillion times better, and only need beefier brakes to absolutely spank any of the Corvettes.
6) Well, uh, this depends.
If they're all naturally-aspirated, then the Integra wins (Type-SH, and Type-Rs, I assume). It's only weakeness is its weight, which can be made up for with the 40 pound-feet of torque it has on the marginally lighter Prelude. The Civic just doesn't have the go. If they ITR and CTR are turbocharged, however, the Prelude wins, the Civic comes in second, and the Integra fails because it refuses to turn under boost.
7) Viper again.
They basically handle the same, oversteer at every opportunity, but the Series 1 has better braking (I think) and less mass to slow down. Viper wins by fun-to-drive and looks.
8) Nissan 240Z.
2000GT GT has no power. No, really - zero.
9) What, for sports cars? Dodge.
Trucks? Ford.
Rednecks? Chevrolet.
