Der neue 997...

I just hope this isn't the final design the front just looks like a new beetle now... good way to lose personality, now Bangle has competition...

Looks almost identical to the 996, but with revised front airdam and 993 style headlights. Pretty much a re-skin... Nothin wrong with that picture.

How can you compare that design with bangles? It looks nothing like them..

Just saying that this is another german marvel redesign that does not look as good as its predecessor IMO, as Bangle's designs...

Actually, the headlights are more 'traditional 911' than the current lights.

Since they are taking some of the design cues from earlier cars I would also want the fenders to stick out a little more.

Looks plain vanilla on the Carrera version, I can't wait for the Turbo version once it comes out.

Come to think of it, the car may look slightly better if it had the emblem on the front of the hood, because right now that area just looks blank.

Very vanilla. Very ho-hum. But then again, Porsche never has seemed to be one to be over the top.

I think that anything of this nature is an improvement over the 996... This will most likely be the carera version... I am sure that the turbos and special addition will look much more agressive...

Nothing can top a 993's looks tho...

Harks back to the 993 days, which is certainly not a bad thing. Turbo and GT2 models should look awesome.

This doesnt usually happen with me, but I just fell in love with the looks of that car. I think porsches are nice, pretty, and all that other good stuff, but that one......wow.

All test mules doesn't show their emblems (for camouflage purposes, which it is stupid) til they are introduced to the public in a big international auto show.

I'm just a simple minded Porsche fan. They're all 911s, to me. They've been there, and they've done that, for over 40 years. Never saw one that I didn't like!

Lost character! It's got it back I think, it looks more like Porsches used to before they changed the front end. Also remeber Porsches always had similarities to the Beetle, they were both designed and built by Ferdinand Porsche, the new beetle has kept the character of the old Beetle, this new 997 has the character of the old 911's (whic is beeter than the current one's imo) and o it's bound to have similarities to the Beetle.

As for Bangle being stupid, he's smart enough to get the job he's got, also I find his designs are growing on me over time.
