Over the 4th of July weekend myself and some PSN and Local friends had many discussions about GT6 and PS4. But one of the questions that keeps coming up from all my friends is:
Will they finally have some updated Ruf's or for that matter Porsches for GT6???
My immediate answer - More than likely not.
Considering how EA and Microsoft are about licensing and tidbits that they find to hinder their competition, more than likely they have gone after Polyphony and Sony in one way or another over the Ruf's in Gran Turismo and have sincerely blocked any attempt due to licensing agreements with Porsche and now Ruf (see Forza 4, they have updated Ruf's etc).
The only way I could see that they could bypass this for GT6 or make it relevant in agreeing to some licensing terms, is to follow the same suit Microsoft (Publisher) did with Forza 4, and offer a "Porsche Pack" or DLC for the game.
I'm not sure how that was facilitated with EA having a firm grip on the Porsche license (which was due to expire in 2011/2012), but I'm sure it was done in a fashion where whomever had the licensing agreement at the time, made it equitable or "fair enough" to make it happen.
Polyphony, if you are really listening and have these massive plans for further development for the PS4, please hear this plea to add one of the best motorsports manufactures to the game, at least as a DLC option.
