Anyway, I can play for 20m... so add me to the list.

I'll be running my cars near stock since I can't tune for the life of me. This means I'll probably be slower. If you get to close count on me to move out of the way as soon as possible since there is plenty of time in 20m to make a good lap.

If my tires can hold 20m that is.. I have a problem with tire wear :ouch:

@ JWalker...what times are you online? I think I have you on my friendslist already.
 
Zee, I think I just realized a problem with the system. If somebody cant participate in one week, the whole result will be totally screwed up. If the tracks he misses will be longer than his average, he profits, if shorter, he has a disadvantage. Also other guys that didnt join in last week cant join now since their overall average time will be totally different.

Maybe we should be using points instead?

PS: Damnit, if I would have done a bit more practice at Brno I think I really could have beaten the Steves time! I only did 10 laps or so! :eek:

Yeah you're on my list. Im never online at one particular time, always random, but mostly at evening New York time.

Regarding the missed races i think it would be a good idea to add a second to the slowest times in both races and count them as times for a person who missed the event. This way he/she wouldnt gain anything, but actually be able to stay in competition, unlike the points system where that person would just fall behind.

Anyway. With stock tunes there's nothing I can do to beat you guys. I know I could've done better because in 2 short sessions, I've beaten my times using my opponents tunes after submitting my laps :)

Lets see how it'll go next round.

PS: Maybe you guys can share your tunes after the rounds... 💡 :P

You can take clean piece of paper and a pen, you alreay know what to do with them 👍 :)

Does anyone test this second round with Carrera GT Works on Silverstone? Because i started to tune my car there and already i had two game Freezes :yuck:

I have taken that into account and was going to use a weighted average BUT on second thoughts this came along....a very clever idea from J below

Tex, you never get what you want in life, its a b**** you know... :D

I think my PS3 has had among the most freezes with S2U but I did 5 laps with the Carrera GT at Silverstone already without a problem.
 
Rommie and me did around 15 more laps with the GT at Silverstone without a freeze yesterday. Shouldnt be a problem. Those times on my speedwall from Texas and White-Overall-Land are a real problem, though! :crazy:
 
Ussr, I know. But its (so) hard to keep pace with you (among other 3 in friends list). I miss the one or two racing genes in my DNA :D

Anyway, about freezing, I'm worried about the next round and enna-pergusa with the 918 spyder concept. I usually can't finish the first lap AND if I do, it'll freeze on the second lap (99% sure of this)

I was racing with Texas-Tyme several times back then, because he was getting disconnections from game. When he was able to make a decent lap we where noted a lap times around 1:59.xxx I don't remember how many times we were setting new session but after another disconnection i was just well ..... let's say "in I Dont Care Any More Mode" ;) So i decide to Finnish my session anyway and during one of those last laps i did my last 1:58. So i noted this lap on paper because it didn't went to autolog, i had a little better lap in Audi R8 LMS.


Anyway, I've been trying to do some good laps in Silverstone but that's impossible!!! My game keeps freeze every time I'm close to my maximum speed.

The same thing i noticed on Enna-Pergusa track. 918 Spyder luckily for me was fine on Road America during WTC event.

Probably I'll skip Silverstone and focus on some other tracks. Slower cars like RSR are fine but those WORKS converted not every time i can use.

There is some experiment i want to do. I do have second PS3 console with custom firmware 3.55 kemaw. I can't install Shift 2 completely on Hard Drive and copy my save game to second ps3 account. I'll try to drive with Carrera GT on Silverstone and 918 Spyder on Enna-Pergusa. This is useless for on-line gaming but at least i will know if my Blue Ray drive might be a problem.

But for now probably I'll skip Week 2 / Round 1 / Carrera GT Works - Silverstone Bridge GP :ouch: Due too my technical problems :grumpy:

Romknight i know it's hard but it's not impossible :) You totally kicked my, on Suzuka Track. I will take my revenge ;)

Well I'm not alone then. I'm still testing some configurations, maybe different day time, maybe try to add some competition cars but real problem is to tune car first. Every time I'm in tunning mode on track, I'm not sure if I'll be able to save my changes.

That's so annoying when I'm sitting in my racing setup in front of my TV and suddenly game stops i can hear only roaring sound. Oh dammit! No i have to get out of my seat, go to my TV table and hard-reset PS3, then i'll back on my seat, take DS3 controller, wait a 10 seconds and push Home button, ps3 starts again and now i have to start entire Shift 2 boot up sequence all over again. I even tried to start game without login into psn. Still the same freezes happens. Now i have to search cause on hard drive, maybe i have to delete some of the movies, music, from ps3.

Anyway, good laps we did with Steve, on Dubai Autodrome GP. But far from perfect. 👎
 
Just to remind all : you have to verify your times by racing online with friends. In future unverified times will not count towards your overall laptimes and will not be posted (see OP) . The results for Week 1 will however stand as is.

The Carrera race is a problem. USSR and myself are experiencing freezes on this track. I dont know exactly how we are going to overcome this problem as I do not want to deny the rest of you guys the fun racing the GT on Silverstone. I will think of something 👍

Please pm me your laptimes on GTplanet. Things are getting interesting in this series...keep it up :)
 
Dubai Autodrome GP lap time Submitted. But only from Dubai.

Maybe it would be a good idea to resign from Works Tune Carrera GT and 918 Spyder, because Enna Pergusa is not any better than Silversone :crazy:

Game freeze takes away any chance of having fun on those tracks.

About the Spyder, maybe it won't freeze if its not works converted?
 
I've tried 918 Concept Spyder Works Tuned on Monza. I did there 10 laps and did not have any problems. 👍

But on Enna Pergusa game keeps freezes. I did try 5 times to finish a single lap but i is hopeless 👎 👎 I don't know why. When 918 is not Works Converted then it's OK. I had 10 full laps without any freeze 👍

And the Carrera GT both stock and Works Tuned is fine on Oberschleben GP 👍👍

Any idea how last round ended? At least Dubai Autodrome GP in 911 Cup R, because i was unable to compete at Silverstone
