Nope. Most of the time, those banners are there only because GT sponsors the event in which the cars are participating in.

^ Yeah, but (IMO) it's clear that PD likes this car, seeing as there are already a few versions of it in the game. Couple that with Japan's love of drifting I think it equals a decent chance of it (the drift version in the video) being in the game someday. :)

Ive seen a GT5 logo on a Porsche during the Easter Motor Festival down here... Dont get your hopes up..

GTPorsche
Or maybe... just maybe... Gran Turismo is a sponsor of D1GP.

Nah.. it couldn't be that.....

Yeah, I mean why would a distinguished company like Polyphony Digital sponsor a drifting series, the Japanese hate drifting....;)

GT sponsors racers and race series all over the world. A GT banner or stickers placed on any race car doesn't mean anything.

To play devils advocate here, if you watch the whole vid you will note that the banner on the windshield is changed when they get to the Tokyo Auto Show. That banner has Tokyo Drift under the D1 banner.

For those who don't know; the R35 3rd from the front is #71 Schulze Motorsport Nissan GT-R N24 in which Kazunori Yamauchi (CEO of PD) completed 24 Hours of Nürburgring 2011.

It is in the game because Yamauchi raced it, not because GT5 sponsored the car.
