A friend of mine posted last fall about a stray found in his friend's shed, with kittens. The woman there brought them inside because after all, July in Florida is no time to be raising babies in a metal shed.
The kittens grew and were adopted, but nobody wanted the momma. The woman had taken her to the vet, had her tested, got shots up to date, and had her spayed. I saw the post about the cat, went to see her, and brought her home. Her name is Chipsie.
Exploring on arrival at the new digs:
What the hell is THAT??!?!??! You didn't say anything about CANINES!!!!!
Chipsie and Mocha (other cat) took a very long time to get along with each other. By get along, I mean tolerate. Lots of hissy fits for several months, actually. And the dog has learned to give Chipsie her personal space. Claws will do that, I suppose.
Chipsie is very attached to me. She follows me around the house, greets me at the door when I get home, cries and rubs the whole time I'm getting ready for work. She belonged to a girl before coming here because she follows me into the bathroom, and won't get on the couch. I can pick her up and set her with me, hold her and scratch her, but she's spending the whole time trying to escape. She'll get on the bed, though. So obviously trained by a woman!
She's hard to photograph because when I get down on the floor to try to shoot, she comes to me to play. She might be sitting somewhere perfectly posed for 20 minutes. I'll go get the camera and she comes running to play.
I'm ready for my closeup now....
A couple of those closeups:
She had hearts way before Pluto did. Well, before Pluto's was discovered, anyway.... And just look how
long her tail is!!!!
Just to be fair, some of the other animals that same evening...
Mocha on the couch. Mocha looks a lot like

My Gizmo is the dog. Here he is under the coffee table. He pulls the couch cushions down and builds little forts to hide in.
