Anyone has 2007 and up Nissan Altima with 4 cyl 2.5 engine? I read it has a 20 gal tank, and around 32 MPG on Highway! How is it in real life situations? Anyone managed to get over 500 miles on a single tank?
Also is it worth buying as a first car?

My girlfriend has an 03 and well different engines, but I am sure it is much better. I must say that mpg wise it is possible, it comes down to your driving, because although these cars are 4cyl. you get a lot of temptation since they are not slowpokes. As for a first car, I could not say much about that myself since I have had purchased 10+ year old cars on my own. But I truly believe they are nice 👍 Tip: The 2003 was known for consuming a lot of oil, and if not regularly maintained things go "divide by zero"

Yeah I did hear that they burn allot of oil. Luckily, me and my father along with my brother we change oils ourselves. There is always some persons in some shops that will put cheap oil and never change a filter. Also, I think I want CVT model, I hear its best for fuel economy, but If I find one cheap, So far for 2007 models cost around 10 thousand for more then 60k miles on it. Bit high mileage.

Any other good 4 cyl car with good gas mileage? But I don't want civics or corollas.

The Mazda6 4cyl gets reasonable fuel economy (a personal worst of 19mpg absolutely WAILING on the '05 we had, 22 worst with the '08 and its updated transmission) and handles better than basically anything in the segment.

The V6 isn't actually very far behind the 4cyl in terms of fuel economy when driving it normally either, but for obvious reasons it will get worse fuel economy than the 4cyl when beating on it.

Honestly the CVT isn't that great. The 6 spd is better for maximizing MPGs

I have to agree about the CVT being crap. I think you'll get more annoyed with the transmission before you find the joys in the gas mileage it brings. Aslong as you don't do too many spirited drives, a 6 speed will give you the same mileage.

My daily Corolla hatch got US corner lamps today.. :)

How about smaller car segment? How is the Nissan Versa 5 door? I found few sweet deals. Sure I know they wont be most fun cars to drive, but I think I really need fuel economy and reliability, also 5 door is always a plus.

Figured I'd update with these pics I took yesterday:

I see your white boxy thing from the eighties and raise you this:

And don't take that as bashing, the original Quattro is one of my dream cars and yours is in mighty good shape to add to that. But you can't deny that it's a boxy thing from the eighties! :P

That Volvo is lovely! 80's Boxy..... Is there really any other way to do it!? :D

My brick is actually a '92 but has its roots firmly in the eighties nonetheless. And no, there is no other way - at least if it has to be done properly. 👍 In an emergency '90s boxy (think Volvo 900 series) goes but only in an emergency. Very nearly bought one though...

Just a 2006 325i, thought it was too risky to get a 335i out of warranty and don't want to afford a new one. Was able to get it with a 6speed manual though and here in the states....not the easiest thing to find. Any wheelwell gap you see there is gone. Have since dropped it with a set of Ground Control coilovers as well as M3 lower control arms.

Also have this. Was in the process of painting my body kit there. Ready to install, just need to get motivated. Also got a different set of rims, with 35 series tires for it. That set is all satin black, the ones in the pic, I will be powder coating it all some kinda bright silver probably..tires on those are 40's.

Very nice! I love it...

Negative, the car has always been in California. Once I remove the antenna from the left side people will surely think it's real (the work done looks 100% factory compared to some ive seen)👍

It's nowhere near as good as some of the car's on here but here's mine.
1998 Audi A3 1.8T Sport iv had it for about 2 years now and it is currently on 159000 miles and still runs like a charm. It still does 140 mph easily too but the ecu has been remapped a standard car does 135 mph.
