Proud owner of a 2007 cadillac escalade ESV (extended rear for more cargo space) in diamond white, 18" rims, only 75K miles on it.

...and, of course, my trusty van for work :D

took a picture of the speedometer when there was 66,666 miles on the Caddy...

My 92 Legacy turbo I picked up on Friday for $250. She's gonna need work but it'll be fun.

Interior in this thing is absolutely mint. One small tear on the drivers seat, and a cigarette burn on the rear seat. Sunroof doesn't even leak.

Good price! Seems the Fe2O3 has gotten a good grip. Might I suggest not dumping a whole lot of money as rust is a real pain. Basically you could invest 1000. Into repairs on mechanics to have rust come through making the structural side junk. That is unless you have a welder. ;) Pick a part or junk yards are your friend with budget autos.

Either way congrats and enjoy!

I don't own a welder, but I do have friends (one of which builds hot rods/kustoms for a living, he's building a 52 Fleetline right now, just did the floors by himself from scratch) who do have welders and are more then willing to help.

It was last on the road of April 2005 (according to a sticker), but they did have a garage on the property so I'm unsure if it was in there for a period of time before getting the boot to the backyard, because this thing is way too mint to have been sitting in the backyard for 7 years. All the electronics still work, lights, radio, the speakers are perfect..

You got a good plan in case then. ;)

The flaky rust by the shock tower and the a/c pulley what got my mind in that direction. Where there is rust. Use a screwdriver and poke. If it makes a hole it's gone and needs repaired. If say shock tower that needs attention ASAP. A fender or non structural part. TAPE OVER IT well for now. LOL also the Rust Bullet or PR-15 are supposed to be really good at stopping rust. Again need to ensure there s enough good metal to retain strength.

This stuff you may Know but I'm a Dad and we tend to warn if we see anything that "could" be trouble later. :)

I also have repaired a lot of cheap cars in a manner to make them structural sound. Can be done reasonable price and fairly easy. If you ever have welding and fab questions. PM me. I've got 20+yrs exp in our welding and machine shop. ;)

Will do! for now my main concern is moving it out of the previous owners backyard and onto a tow truck to get it over to my house (about 10KM away)

Well, guess I better explain why I went on a such a long hiatus, I needed to replace one of the pistons.
(its N/A)

Later on, I plan on changing the color of the rims to bronze, and painting the grey body parts to match the rest, might install coilovers, but I don't know too much about suspensions. :scared:

It's a great colour, Cody. My Stilo is Rosso Scilla, which seems to transform when it rains in to a very awesome deep red.
