One post pointing people to get back on topic is better than 10 pointless off topic posts...

I'm gonna let you in on a secret I've learned over my many years here - it really doesn't get anyone back on topic.

Have a Hipstergram photo.

October '12 getting the handbrake cable fixed. Probably the most recent photo I have of the Mondeo. You can tell it's mine. :sly:

Well just to make sure I do post something on topic..

This finally went to the scap yard to be recycled as it turned out the head was cracked, though I've kept the BBS splitties...

p1.jpg

which now leaves me with just this dull-ass piece of dunkelblau diesel powered electrically unstable bavarian averageness...

p2.jpg

Which, to be fair to it, can fit quite a bit more in on the odd occasion I need it to.

And once I've got the BBS's off the E36 done they'll go on the E46 so I actually have some grip as well as increased load space and 45+mpg.

BTW DaxCobra what HP is your dad expecting out of that Rover V-8?

M3 trim on a non M3? :indiff:

Somehow I knew that would get a self-righteous response from you Azuremen.

It's a 328i Sport, a trim level offered by BMW, they are not M3 parts so much as standard BMW parts, and unlike an M3, nothing on it says M3.

Well the engine is totally bespoke, built to my dad's specifications. TVR only went up to a 5L sized V8, but the company he bought the engine off of (v8developments) build them up to 5.5L. (the 5.5 variant is a bit too highly strung and the 5.4 is the best option for durability and outright speed) When we bought the engine it was ran on an engine dyno at 350BHP and the torque figures were about 390ft lb.

Now it is running a supercharger, I think when we had it dyno'd it was around 450BHP, but that is with a large supercharger pulley producing I think roughly 6 PSI. With a smaller pulley producing more boost, 500BHP is easily achievable but not easily controlled on the road.

I think the torque figures are around 500ft lb now. That's in a car that weighs about a tonne, so it's stupidly fast. 0 to 60 we timed at 3.59 BEFORE the supercharger was installed. We haven't had a day warm enough for enough grip to try again since the supercharger has been on.

600HP at the wheels.

So what sort of time-travelling 36 year old was born on April 1st, 1996?

Not that those "extra pictures" prove anything else, either. So at this point, I refer you to this thread, where I'm sure you could explain a few things.

Oho...

I'm gonna call legit though on this one.

I did think something was a little suspicious, considering I couldn't find the magazine cover he claimed his Skyline was on after searching through all of the Japanese Performance Magazines dating back to the first ever issue in 1999. Either he wasn't a full cover feature and just a side one, or someone is telling porkies. I didn't bother saying anything in case he linked me to the issue and made me look like a complete fool, which he probably will do.

Can mods see d.o.bs even when they aren't displayed?

Maybe his new years resolution was to troll a website :dopey:? (He joined Jan 1st ;))

The ///M logo on the trim tripped me up a bit there. And if you knew I was going to respond why didn't you just clarify it with the post then?

You mean my statement on him looking like a 14 year old due to Comic Sans wasn't that far off?

My Old one, My New one is gonna get painted silver in a few more days =). The dents will be fixed and I'll have new wheels.

Meh, Don't know why he gets jumped on for having an R32 Skyline.

Not really a great way to welcome a new(ish) member.

He sounded legit from the beginning anyway.

Change your date of birth by 2 decades? Seems legit to me

And that doesn't prove anything besides a, possibly, Skyline in white was featured sometime ago.

Sorry to have to put it like this but, are you retarded? Look at the car in my picture and the one in the magazine. I dont think someone has a exact replica, only 4 of them were ever made. (street legal JGTC bodykits)

Says the man defending Comic Sans that apparently messed up his DoB by 2 decades when applying to the forum

I can't tell what that is in the tiny, blow up and pixelated picture you posted. It vaguely resembles a white Skyline.

But really, this does nothing to prove you own the car. Nor does it do anything to prove the mods on your current car. Or the Supra you claim to own. Or the Mazda.

I will direct you back to this post/thread, please take a look.
