That's in surprisingly good shape. I'm currently on the look out of an old 240 wagon myself for my winter car, seems like the perfect choice.

It is! But it definitely hasn't been babied, there are quite a few nicks and scratches in the paint, some missing trim pieces and some small dents and dings but overall the body is in pretty good shape. I probably overpaid a few hundred but I got excited and jumped on it. As for a winter car I'm not sure how they get around in the snow but the heater is a real beast. I did slide it a little in the rain yesterday and it was quite fun, more so in snow I bet. What's their availability like in Michigan?

I'd have to imagine they're pretty good in the snow since they come from Sweden. Pretty much anything I get is going to get some super knobby snow tires snow I'm not too worried, I just know just about anything will be better than the C30.

The wagons aren't as common as I was hoping in Michigan, but there are a couple sedans on Craigslist with low 200k miles on them. A buddy of mine had one that had almost 500k miles on it so I'm not worried about the miles a car would run either. I figured if I find one I should be able to get it less than $1,500.

Wait, you're trading from FWD to RWD for winter driving, i drove a 2003 Mustang Gt around last winter in Jersey (i know its not even close to Michigan but we got hit pretty hard for Jersey) and it was not in any way fun. That is why i got my Scion that just got off of a 1 year lease.

The C30 sits rather low and I'm not keen on getting salt and other winter funk on it. RWD should be fine for the winter though barring I get good tires on it and I will. Plus I won't really care if for some reason a $1,500 car ends up in the ditch and gets some damage. As an added bonus, I suppose I could always rallycross it during the summer too.

Need new exhaust :(

I went out today to try to get a few pics of the Volvo, finding good angles has been tricky.

1/10 Need new wheels. :P

That's over by Interbay? A little further south of the pedestrian bridge?

Was browsing old pictures on my camera, and found these pics of my previous car (my current one: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/carmaniacs-14-escape.310804/) a 2011 Mazda 3.

In many ways I regret selling this car. It was my first ever car, the one in which I passed my driver's license, the one in which I moved away from my parents. It was very fun to drive, and most importantly it never let me down. It'll always be in my heart.

How can I upload photos from my phone?
Use a web browser on your phone (Mozilla or Chrome), get on the web, come back to this page and look under reply box. It should say 'Upload a File' and depending on your phone it should give you the option to pick a storage device or gallery to pick a photo from.

Will a iPhone 5S do fine or no?

That's a beautiful Mazda3/Axela!

Car:
Mazda 626 (GF)/GW CE
Engine:
RF-Turbodiesel 2.0 DITD
90 HP @ 4000 rpm
220 Nm @ 1800-2600 rpm
Gearbox:
5-speed manual "M5", connected via 225 mm clutch

It's not a racer, but I love it. It's beautiful, it has way more than enough space inside, it is fuel efficient and it is really good quality.

Edit: How can I rotate that one?

I don't care, it's cool. And technically not mine but I'm the only one that drives it so hey.

Also, just some further information, yes both of the hubcaps on the other side are missing as well and yes I am aware that the front bumper is the wrong colour (blame the mechanics who replaced it by just painting over a completely different coloured one, as well as the rainfall that followed)
I have no idea why, but this has my vote for coolest car in this thread.

Wait... Mazda Capella... DIESEL? My dad too has one of those, but over here it's incredibly rare. Only heard of one other diesel here. My dad has the SE (special edition I assume) with the 4 speed auto. Has 25 more horsepower than you apparently. :P

From what I know, there was never a 115 HP Diesel in the European version stock.

Only the 2,0i petrol non-GT has 115 HP.

Could be different for the Russian/Japanese Capellas, which also had I-6 engines in the v-rx version.

The Diesel only had 90 HP in Austria due to taxes. The German version and a later Austrian version had 101 and that later changed to 110, also in Austria.

SE could also be the 'Sport Edition' with darker window tint and the ride height level control which was normally optional.

Edit: Just saw that you live in Australia. I think in your region they have Ford engines.
