I just got my Mark 4 VW Golf GTI 1.8 20v today. I'll ge some pics up when I get home.
 
Here's a pic of my car back in 2003. I had just sold the old chrome rims I had & put the stockers back on. I also had just put the crappy stickers on there. I was an idiot back then.

About a year after I put the dragons on they started to peel & yellow so I took them off & realized that she looked much better without them. See;

So... How did that answer my question? I see a Cold Air Intake pipe leading to the bumper, so I don't even see a need for 1 hood scoop... let alone 3.

Looks like a 2.5RS, which means they came that way. The 2.5RS was the closest we had to a WRX at the time... all the show, none of the go.

I thought that the middle scoop was as from the factory, but the other 2 were flush with the hood?

Sorry that I didn't clearify my point. The scoops are there just for the look and collecting dust, lol... Like the MOD said, until the WRX came ashore to the States, the older model of RS's were all we had for the subie's community. IMO-even with the new STi, it's still the best looking Subaru ever made. :dopey:

The main scoop and passenger's side scoop can be functional if ya do a turbo'ed Ej20/Ej22/STiEj25 engine swap. And the driver's side scoop is for "engine cooling," directing more hot air out of the engine bay.

Droptop, very very nice! :) I'm not a huge fan of the White, but the S2000 is an incredible car period. Well done!
