Not my car, but I valeted it. An Alvis TD21 - what a beautiful machine...

The fact that it's a sedan rather than the typical hatch makes it all the cooler, too.

I went on a drive. I'd apologize for the filthy car, but after snow finally hit my city the day before (~5000ft), I was expecting it to be a bit worse higher up (~8000ft) so I didn't bother washing it. Not only were the amazing roads bone dry, but it was warm enough to cruise with my windows down and short sleeves on.

If you're into scenery, I took plenty of those kinds of photos as well:

All of these high-elevation drives are making me want to put a turbo in this thing....

Not quite finished yet but. 2000 Audi B5 S4 (6 speed). 1 of 106 to come to the US in hibiscus red. Built bottom end, single turbo conversion i built myself. E85, dual AEM 380lph pumps feeding from a surge tank. Should be a 600AWHP car when done.

New exhaust tip. Yay or nay?

Does that have a 3800? Does it sound any different with some tips?

Sold the Yukon the other day because it was starting to exhibit some transmission issues. Haven't photographed it much recently, other than a bunch of photos I took for the ad, so here's a pic of it in its final (that I'll probably know of) state:

It does have a 3800 V6. It isn't exactly louder with the tip on but it sounds a little more raspy, kinda sorta like an Aston.

I'm more one for single tips, like an oval shape. At the end of the day though, it's your car. Doesn't matter what other people think! If it did, my Volvo would be staying standard, and bollocks to that!

^ The Panda's looking good as is, imo, but I'd love to see that 👍

That's a bit sad to hear. It looked like a really nice truck to ditch over a transmission.

:( I miss my Volvo. Shame I couldn't keep it though.

Love the wagons though. Hopefully, my next car will be a V60.

It was in good shape otherwise, but I definitely wasn't trying to spend what the truck was arguably worth to fix it when I wasn't even planning on keeping it long-term. I'll probably return with a more appropriate daily driver eventually though.

It looks alright from that angle, but up close the rear arch gap is absurdly large. I don't want to lower it too much, as the front bumper is already quite close to the ground and I've caught it at that height a few times. I kind of have to lower it anyway, it'd be a shame to waste the set of coilovers I have in the garage... ;)

Maybe just a subtle drop of 20mm at the front and 30-40 at the rear? Might bring the front end up a tad. Still, don't drop it too much, it looks pretty smart as it is! Call it the hot rod!

Best colour for the Panda, too. I wish my dad still had his Corsa in the same colour.

My Corsa, meanwhile, having no rear seats or rear plastic trim sits like a monster truck at the back. I think I've probably shed about 40kg from the back, which isn't too bad for a 900-ish kg car.

Yeah Gran Turismo 4 and my grandad got me into Volvos. Then I bought this one and drove it. It's one of my favourite sounding 4-cylinder cars just for how mechanical, rickety and old it sounds.

First one I drove was a 240 sedan and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. Liked them since. Mine sounds exactly as you described but with more compressor surge. :P

They do sound really cool with an exhaust system though, the first one I drove was owned by a buddy who straight piped it and ran a side exit exhaust, it sounded like a little rally car when you wound it out but it was way too loud to daily drive it.

Finally realized my film camera wasn't functioning right, so here's some 200 ISO film with a polarizer on a new camera. Finally got a good batch!

If you told me you took those pictures in 1995 I'd totally believe you. Love the "retro" look of them and the fact that you made sure nothing modern looking was around them either for the most part.
