It’s so close yet so far. I spent the better part of a day outside with a blowtorch, a hammer, some pliers, and a straight piece of wood banging the rad support back into shape.

Nothings quite lining up perfect but I guess that’s what I get with a 40 year old truck made out of 3 different trucks parts after an accident

Needs some work still and I need to take it off again and make some adjustments with a hammer, but she’s nearly back on the road. A hammer, some time, and some trim and she might be back on the road for one more drive before the snow flies for 3 months. Plan on doing some major work over the winter while she’s parked, namely interior.

Been super long since I've posted publically here. Thought I'd update you all with my current ride I've had for over 1 1/2 years now - a 435i.

Do fancy something even newer at some point though - maybe a 2019 M340i when they get a little cheaper! We'll see.

Took the wagon out for its maiden test drive after the manual transmission conversion. There's an issue with the clutch pedal travel that I'm hoping to sort out tomorrow, but it does drive... as long as you start the car with the transmission in gear and ignore that third pedal while shifting, haha. Still, I'm so proud of myself.

Oooh, used to have one of them - only car I've ever crashed! Was great to drive. Only annoying thing was kicking off the handbrake occasionally when getting out of the car.
HI'm pretty many of us in this forum have crashed a car in one way or another lol. I crashed my last car in a stupendously dramatic way.

Right now, my 944 is in need of a new harness (as the picture said) after a fire when installing a new steering wheel. It's a weird and specific issue, but I've just ordered a new harness which may be a saving grace.

It's under a salvage/rebuilt title, which will diminish the value quite a bit, but I don't really care anymore. I'm just going to keep building it. Other than the wiring, the car is very solid apart for some interior work and quality of life stuff.

- I like the Jaguar - I'm sure it's still a great ride without all of the power. How's it?

I'd still like another 944 some day - hope you get your one sorted.

The Jaguar is bloody awesome to drive - huge amounts of grip, and likely way more than I'm brave enough to try lol. It's very firm but also smooth to drive over most surfaces. No motorways or dual carriageways here, so it's all twisty A and B roads. My wife just likes the heated seats, and that you can start the car remotely so it's nice and warm when you get in

I think I might add my car to this thread. I drive a 2003 Lack-of-Horsepower. It has features like:

- Chassis flex
- Open diff
- Delusional driver that thinks it's fast
- No working A/C

And yet, it's still every inch The Answer!

Although I will admit, before I clicked on that small image to get a proper look at it, I thought I was seeing an older Jag XK...

2014 370Z Roadster Tech Sport. Bought in July, haven’t really put many miles on it due to COVID lockdown here in California. Went on a fun ride with the Ventura Porsche Owners Club up to the mountain crest though. Stock except for tires one size taller to avoid scraping.

I like the meaty tires, gives it a purposeful look. 👍

My old H22-swapped '92 Accord sedan, as found on Google Street View years back:

I love those wheels, in fact I picked up the same wheels from the junk yard to put them on my CD5...

You wouldn’t have more photos or shots of your conversion do you ?
I would really be interested.

I need to replace the broken camshaft on mine to get it rolling again.

I got this for $225 and towed it back to my place from the brother of my buddy.

The interior is immaculate.
